Make no mistake, our 2002 team was legit. We beat Cincy that year who was the C-USA co-champ. Ohio State kicked a field goal as time expired to beat Cincy that year if I remember correctly. I think that was also the year we hung right with TCU at Amon Carter and ended up losing 16-10 or something along those lines. Brandon Kennedy was all over the field that day. Those teams have gotten better. We...well, what else can you say really?

And how times have changed for the two teams involved in that game...

It wasn't THAT long ago that we trotted Nick Bazaldua out onto the field on the road to beat a pretty decent New Mexico St. team on the road with a field goal. It seems like forever ago now that I think about it.

I could be wrong, but I think we actually put the backup place kicker in...just to have him kick it out of bounds too. What are they working on in practice? Clearly not extra points and kick-offs.
