I agree with you on that route. Garnett would be the dream acquisition, and that's exactly what it is...a dream. By the way...I would love to stick my foot in my mouth over all of this!

Alright guys...I think the Mavs could be very well described as the "Junior Kings" (as said by Newy Scruggs on ESPN Radio 103.3). We are following their formula, and it will take a few years to get to the top. However, it will take some restructuring. I hate to see it, but the big 3 will have to be dismantled to make a championship happen. We could talk all day about acquiring a P. J. Brown, Michael Olowokandi, or Alonzo Mourning (a shell of his former self), but Newy brought this up: I don't know what the stipulations of Kevin Garnett's contract is, but I believe it is up soon. We deal Nash, Finley, and miscellaneous player or two for Garnett. Before you bash me, think about it. I love Steve Nash, he's probably my favorite player. But imagine this: Van Exel at the point, Wahad or Bell or Griffin or acquired free agent at shooting guard, Nowitzki at small forward, Garnett at power forward, and the two-headed ivory tower center tandem. That might be a team that could hang with the Western Conference elite. Just a thought...probably not a very realistic one at that.

True...the Stars didn't play up to potential, but that's why the NHL playoffs are the most competitive and difficult in the world of sports. The team that is playing hot and is capable of keeping that momentum is probably going to win. Now....on the other hand.....HOW BIG ARE THAT GOALIE'S PADS???

What kind of basketball was that in Game 6!? I mean I've seen some bad basketball in my life, including some this year by my beloved Mavs. But come on, that was some of the worst effort and execution I've ever seen. How can a team that plays so well one game become so ineffective in the next. I'm not saying it's over, but they better find themselves again real quick. Come on Mavs, lets finish off these thugs and go have some revenge on the Sacramento Queens (or at least try to )!!!
