There's clearly a huge difference between "can win some ballgames" and "will win some ballgames."

I can honestly say I wouldn't have been mad at the coaches for going for two and missing it. They crawled back into the game despite turnovers and huge penalties. The offense had just moved 91 yards. Weapons such as Carey, Dunbar, Hamilton and Dodge were all contributing. Bustle's Cajuns are known for special teams play and blocked kicks! I hate to sound like an armchair quarterback, but I would have accepted that loss much more easily than the one that actually went down.

Clean house, RV. Otherwise, no one will want to visit your new one.

We have the talent to compete in the Belt. Clean house with the coaching staff and bring someone competent in and we'll all see that. Bustle outcoaches Dodge EVERY year with what I feel is inferior talent at UL-L.

One of the most poorly coached and undisciplined teams I've ever watched. I'm not even talking about the snap penalties on the third string center. I'm talking about personal fouls, false starts, and holds on some of our supposedly most reliable veterans.

We were screaming for the coaches to go for 2 in the chat room. It's not because we're greedy overreacting message board wanna-be coaches, it's because our kicking game sucks and Bustle's Cajuns block a lot of kicks! You're telling me that the duo of Dodge and Canales don't have something drawn up for a quick 2 pt. conversion punch-in? Heartbroken again. Same old stuff.

As I said in the chat, the game plan from last week WORKED. Why abandon it so early this week? The penalties AGAIN show me how undisciplined we are. We need a clean slate in the worst way.

The head coach never loses the game by your logic. It all falls at his feet. The special teams being a disaster. The poor tackling. The poor play calling. At some point, everyone needs to quit making excuses for this dude. At what other job would this track record allow you to keep your employment?! Again, I'm not leaving. So don't try to scoreboard me with your loyal fandom.

So you're okay with the fact that at this point in Dodge's tenure, he still hasn't figured out how to win these types of games? I've stuck with this team through thick and thin since the day I left high school, and I don't plan on bailing now. I am simply stating that the time for a head coaching change is LONG overdue. 5-33 is embarrassing. Sorry.

Count me in. All of the excuses are just meaningless chatter to me now. I'm tired of being embarrassed.

I understand that we almost won this game. That is not enough though. This team has GOT to learn how to beat someone. At this point in Dodge's tenure, these are the types of games we should be winning. Ultimately, it all falls on the coach. He's had more than enough time. I predict 4 wins this year. Some of the Belt teams are better than Rice. I just hope that RV cleans house so that we can start a new era of North Texas football off in a new stadium under a new coaching regime.
