  2. I don't think anyone is questioning your figures, it just seems like a rather large number all things considered. I would not stand against you on it, just seems rather large when compared to ours or what we have been accustomed to.

  5. I missed. Anyone have a link to the rebroadcast?
  6. Everyone's favorite Pac4 prognosticator OS_Beaver is starting to consider UNT part of the have not's in all of his proposed scenarios. Do we even know if Commissioner Aresco has a seat at the table. Seems like Oliver Luck will take over this new conference. Just hate to see us left out to dry again on this.
  7. Agree with you. The only exception would be if he goes 0-8 or something which won't happen.
  8. DENTON – UNT volleyball players Sh’Diamond Holly, Aryn Johnson and Treyaunna Rush were named to the 2023 American Athletic Preseason All-Conference Team, the league announced on Monday. Holly is the reigning Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year and finished with a league-high 153 total blocks in 2022, which ranks fourth in single-season program history. She also ranks second in UNT volleyball single-season history with a .375 attack percentage. Rush led the Mean Green with 423 kills last season and was honored as a first team All-CUSA selection. She added 96 blocks and was the team’s leader in points scored with 477.0 in 2022. Junior outside hitter Johnson was a second team All-CUSA honoree last season. Over the conference slate, she finished second on the team in kills (183), digs (93) and points (209.5). The three preseason selections mark a program record as North Texas had never placed more than two players on a preseason all-conference team before Monday’s announcement. On four occasions, UNT placed two players on the Preseason CUSA All-Conference Team, most recently in 2018. North Texas was picked to finish fourth in the ultra-competitive west division in the American Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league’s coaches. West Division 1. SMU (7) 78 2. 9. DENTON – The UNT women’s soccer team outshot Northwestern State 22-4 in route to a 3-0 home opening victory Sunday night at the Mean Green soccer and Track & Field stadium. The Mean Green (2-0) got goals Sunday from sophomore Kat Burnell in the 11th minute, junior Bailey Wesco in the 15th minute and sophomore Summer Brown scored her second goal of the young season in the 56th minute. Through two matches, North Texas has yet to give up a goal this season and has won each of the matches by a score of 3-0. “We’ve got a lot of depth in the back,” said freshman defender Sarah Peyton Webb. “And we’re still pretty new but we’re getting pretty comfortable and keeping opponents from getting good looks.” UNT is now 26-2-1 all-time in home openers. The man who has led the program since its birth in 1995, John Hedlund, creeped closer to the 400-win mark after Sunday’s win over the Lady Demons (0-1) as he collected his 387th career victory. He ranks 10th in the nation among active DI women’s soccer head coaches but fourth among coaches who have been at just one university. Scoring goals was not a concern for Hedlund going into the season and on Sunday the Mean Green showed why as not only did they score three again but now five different players for UNT have found the back of the net. The Mean Green next hit the road again as they travel to Texas State on Thursday. First kick is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT. Texas State will also enter the match with a 2-0 record and has outscored its opponents by a combined score of 8-2 so far. Olympic Sport Passes for this season's Mean Green volleyball, soccer and softball seasons are available now. Fans can purchase a general admission Olympic Sport Pass for $75 and receive season tickets for all three teams. For more information on tickets, contact the Mean Green Ticket Office at 940-565-2527 or at ticketoffice@unt.edu. Fans can visit the UNT Athletics Ticket Office located at Gate 2 of Apogee Stadium between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  10. The uncertainty of a TV deal makes it a risky decision for the Cougars to join the conference. This makes joining the AAC the best business option when it comes to conference realignment. Yes, the distance between Washington St and the rest of the AAC schools would be funky but the damage to the Pac-12 has already been done. The Mountain West would make a lot more sense geographically but the AAC TV deal is more lucrative. The AAC TV deal would allow Washington St to have a steady amount of income and does not have a grant of rights clause in it. Additionally, Washington State would be more likely to move back into a top conference if they are able to be the best football program in the AAC for consecutive years. 11. I don't know what to think. OS_Beaver fan has disappeared and MHver3 has started to go in completely different directions. I am beginning to worry that these are just sock puppets who have no real care other than clicks. I am resigned to the fact that the PAC is dead, and absolutely no one is going to pay an exit fee to join a conference without a major media company backing them.
  12. This is good insight but also very sad. Programs like SMU could ruin the entire game if we are not careful.
  13. Yes I never understood why some of our fans turned their back on UNT/D
  14. My only issue with this is that we would likely end up in the west division and as a fan I would prefer to be in the east.
