Eventually Washington and Oregon State will join the AAC. Boise State and San Diego State will be the next two teams to join the AAC along with either Colorado State or the Air Force Academy taking the place of smut. That will bring the AAC to twenty teams running from coast to coast and we will be the number 4 conference in CFB. GMG!!!

If think that if we are realistic about what will happen, there will really be only one thing that will move the needle for everyone but smut and that will be the media money. How much ESPN or whoever will pay the schools in a “new” conference for their media rights. Location is secondary, even conference mates won’t matter so much, it will come down to money and those pac teams need a lot.

I can guarantee you that smut is doing everything they can to get away from us. If we get separated as conference mates I would follow TCU’s lead and no more sports with smut.

Easy, number 1.

This is a big deal for all concerned, any agreement has to be written with the appropriate media partners and then approved by all the schools administrations. It is a time consuming process with lots of details and numerous participants, some of them rather persnickety. If everybody is reasonable I believe it will happen.

$10,000,000.00 is 5 times what we earned total from C-USA last year, and it is only going up, I’ll take that!

I am reading some interesting comments concerning future conference mates and who will be picked etc. in our new P5 conference. I’ll admit things look really good and could actually turn our way. I’m afraid we may be building things up and headed for what would be a really big letdown. All of this talk leads to one thing really and that is our University’s commitment and your commitment and mine to our University. We need everyone to step up a little bit more and better yet we need more new blood, actually their money. To compete at what will be a very high level we all have to commit ourselves to a higher level. Let’s do what we can to make this happen once and for all. GMG!!!

If smuT had any sense, instead trying to leave The American for anyone that will take them, and paying them to do it, they should be trying to get the west coast 4 to come join us. Talking up our conference to the WC 4 and ESPN about getting more money for our Power 5 Conference. But then again no one accused them of being smart.

Let’s do this deal. Call whoever you need to, to make this happen and let’s GO!

SRO, next year when we play Cal for our conference opener in Berkeley we will be looking to go ahead in the series 2-1.

All the stories I looked at and read are within the last day or two and they seem to be moving in the direction of a merger. I believe that the AAC is the only conference that can “help” the PAC 4 get what they want, money, and a decent place to land their teams.

I am seeing a lot of stories all across the nation discussing a “merger” of the PAC 4 and the AAC. I believe that this could happen and with our commissioner I think he can make it happen.

A couple of things, they are not going to let us know what is going on until it is done. We were in the first four out of six for AAC expansion, we have value. Our current administration is something I don’t believe we have to worry about, they have gotten us here and have hired good coaches and we are in a a good position for the future, Trust in Dr. S Et Al.

That big Billboard on 35 ought to bring a lot of money, it will be interesting to find out not only the new name but how much money it will bring in.

We are not a little fish, at least medium. But I do agree with a few points, as an optimist by nature I must say I BELIEVE IN THE MEAN GREEN! We shall see, I could win the Mega Millions and we NIL us a ***** quarterback. Seriously we are in the best conference with the most exposure we have ever been a part of and with a little luck, some talent, good coaching and alumni/fan support we could elevate our beloved program. I could also win that Mega Millions 😁

Seven years is a long time to play college football, how in heck is Harris still playing. It must be a record.

Personally, I believe Wyoming is a bigger draw than FIU or S Alabama. Just think a few years ago we were playing McNeese and Northwestern State and now we are complaining about playing a good mid-major in Wyoming. My how times are changing!

Season tickets are cheap, I got mine at the end of last season and what a schedule. Even with a new coach we should make some noise, in the conference and post season. If we could average 6,000, the crowd can make some noise too!
