  1. It's not really this one. If this was a one off no one would mention it. It's constant. All the time. It's partly due to name changes, but IMO, it's due to the fact that the admin still tries to brand us at North Texas. North Texas is a region. We are the university in said region. We need to be branded as UNT. Then, all of this confusion would stop pretty quickly. And I am assuming the kids school created this for him. Because ours didn't, which is another issue at its core.
  2. People are confused because people are stupid. There are 130 FBS programs. It's not difficult to know their names, state geography and mascots. It's pretty simple, especially if you are heavily involved in football.
  3. Tbh, I am not worried about the class if a few things happen... 1. Running the football (much like in 2021) is truly prioritized, but this time in a more creative manner with unique offensive sets that get an additional OL on the field at times with a mauling TE or 2 out there. Then PA off of it with same sets and move the pocket, etc. There are ways to be unique and creative while looking bland to the naked eye. 2. Defensive recruiting/transfers is prioritized with our remaining ships. If SL goes back to attempting finesse/air raid, it takes talent at the skill player level to do that; not to mention at the QB position. If we wholesale make a cultural and philosophical change (and I don't mean one mid-season to save jobs), then recruiting classes truly come down to fit and need instead of whipping everyone with talent, though the talent helps.
  4. ...there is nothing more certifiable than not even getting our institutions name correct. It's amazingly pathetic.
  5. Athletes should be able to move freely...after one year of sitting as a transitional period. Go back to the old rule. This one is horrible for the game. Even NFL players are obligated to their contracts. Even NFL teams have salary caps. This is the wild, wild west. It's insane.
  6. Because football and basketball is comparable. Hopefully this guy comes in and gets yoked and is ready to go at this level. Welcome.
  7. And McNeese! And Texas Southern! And A&M Commerce! And I am sure a LEGITMATE TT offer!!
  8. Good for them. I don't hate them for leaving. I hate the rules. This will be standard protocol for a lot of G5 players moving forward if rules aren't tweaked, expect the best players on G5 rosters to leave. Rules must be changed.
  9. The lack of these would fall under the nothing to offer.
  10. Yes, I was referencing past transfer commits, not current.
  11. Had to requote you and respond to your edit... If my buddy is deadA ugly and has nothing to offer, he's going to pull an ugly chick. Get it?
  12. Because of the success of this staff in bringing in transfers that can or will make an impact. Pretty easy, actually.
  13. There is no proof in that pudding. We've seen bad years, multitude of them. Yet, he's entering year 7. SEVEN.
  14. I understand your points, but under this coaching/development and lack of ability to bring in difference making transfers I find it difficult to just assume who they're bringing is will turn the tide. If it does, great. Put me in the group that will not be holding my breath.
  15. Depth. Is. Important. Read that 3x. Though I do understand what you're saying. I just don't see us getting anywhere near where we want to be with this staff and roster/recruiting.
  16. We can talk about those "highly touted" classes all day long, but as more and more of those very classes abandon ship, it's all for not. NSD classes aren't bowl wins and conference championships. We got good players here, now those players are leaving and we aren't replacing them with equal or greater talent. Player retention is now a huge part of the job and the only thing we have good retention in is overpaid athletic department employees. WB keeps talking about a surplus in the AD each year. My only question to that is, how? Gonna send in Frank Wilson to check the numbers.
  17. Not sure how you see it this way. We lost to a very pedestrian MOh team and we're losing good players and back filling with lesser talent. Unless our definition of decent differ, I'd have to disagree.
  18. Exciting NSD? You just said the words battling, UNT, Richmond, Recruit and SFA all in the same sentence. That does not sound exciting.
  19. We are a school in a football first state. An argument to invest significantly into basketball could be strengthened by that fact.
  20. Looking at the schedule and our alleged weak schedule, where are our wins?
