  1. 4.35 according to hudl but i don't know how accurate that is
  2. Cotton Bowl - "Would not disclose" Sooooo...a house for their parents?
  3. When you go to buy your HOD ticket it says "general admission". I remember last time we got specific seats. Does anyone know if that is not the case this time?
  4. WMU loses this weekend, Navy beats Temple, Navy then loses to Army causing the G5 champion spot to be a free for all. Western Kentucky then claims the crown, wins the Cotton Bowl and CUSA reigns supreme. Clearly the most realistic situation.
  5. After watching about 3 minutes of highlights, I'm pretty much an expert. One nice thing I see about Fulp is that he wraps up nearly every tackle that he makes. Our current defensive guys are playing well but miss a lot of tackles by trying to get the big hit and not wrapping up.
  6. Feel free to direct me to this discussion if it exists already but is there a plan for a large UNT tailgate at the game this weekend? I've never been up to UTSA so I don't know how the layout around the stadium is and I was hoping to tailgate with other North Texas fans.
  7. Morris is not an awful quarterback, but he was not immediately the savior of this offense in week 1. If he doesn't get better in the next few weeks why wouldn't we just let Fine start the remainder of the season? I personally just don't see the point in letting a talented young quarterback waste a season sitting on the sideline without a redshirt. Would it not be better to let Fine get the experience and chemistry with a receiver group that is returning a good amount of the players next year? I'm asking as a legitimate question, not so much stating my view point. I want to know why we would let Fine sit if there's a good reason that I don't understand.
  8. Sorry about the lack of UNT articles. Been backed up with pre-draft coverage but I'll have some up soon.
  9. 1. Overall yes but I wouldn't expect a significant bump. On the assumption that Alec Morris can be a quality QB during a game (which I think is being too widely assumed right now) you still need receivers for him to throw to that will actually be successful. Our best players on offense are in the running back position and we're moving into an air raid style offense, doesn't really mesh too well. 2. I think it would be very hard to be worst offensively than last year. Decent QB play and an improved Wilson will make for a better offensive year. 3. In my opinion, a lot of people are thinking too wide frame for this question. When I think about if we will be "good or bad" I usually consider our opponents and their play styles. CUSA teams are very pass happy on average, and our secondary will be significantly better. The run defense may lack from not having much depth on the line, but I think the JuCo transfers that we picked up will do just fine to hold their own at the line and force opposing offenses to pass into a more experienced secondary.
  10. A vote to rescind the fee will more than likely not take place. Student wide votes like that are proposed through the campus SGA and students, on average, don't have enough of an issue with the current athletic state to go through all the trouble of writing legislation for SGA, getting it passed within the organization, and then taking it to a student vote at the next election cycle. Not to say that it should or should not happen. Just way less likely than the majority of people on this forum make it seem.
  11. Does anyone know times for the scrimmages on the 2nd and 9th?
  12. Aside from the pointless arguing going on about how important this forum is, I find Augie's connection here interesting. He only has 3 offers, two of which were a result of SL's confidence in him (Indiana and us). He only retweets and tweets recruiting info that involves him and UNT rather than Indiana or V Tech. While V Tech makes the most sense I don't think he is a standard scratch off. I definitely hope not.
  13. I read that Kincade was considering Houston. Maybe he was leaning strongly toward Houston and then the Kyle Allen news this morning affected his decision.
  14. "In recruiting, Luper helped bring in classes that were consistently ranked in the top 10 nationally by ESPN, Rivals.com and Scout.com. Auburn signed a consensus top-five class in 2010. For his efforts, Luper was named by Rivals to its list of the top 25 recruiters in the nation and one of the top 10 recruiters in the SEC." This is very premature, but if Meacham gets the position is there any chance he brings Luper with him? They were both at Oklahoma State as coaches together. This could be the recruiting help that we need. http://www.gofrogs.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/curtis_luper_837199.html
  15. http://www.underdogdynasty.com/2015/11/3/9665994/the-case-for-mike-canales-as-north-texas-head-football-coach Don't mean to beat a dead horse but, thoughts?
  16. Does anyone know how or why Coach Canales got the nickname "Coach Chico"?
  17. I don't know how much credibility I'm going to give to this random twitter account. 61 followers with over 5,000 tweets and no mention of where they learned the news on Mangino.
  18. I think a good under the radar name would be Jeff Traylor. TE and ST coach at Texas. Fantastic east Texas coach before that. http://www.burntorangenation.com/2015/2/13/8033349/jeff-traylor-hired-texas-longhorns-tight-ends-special-teams-coach
  19. Aside from Applewhite, I personally am really interested in Tony Franklin. Only one bad stint with numerous strong programs.
  20. Is another bowl appearance as easy as some semi-minor tweaks or does the team and staff need a lot more work to get back to the 2013 level? http://www.underdogdynasty.com/conference-usa/2015/9/6/9217033/why-north-texas-could-be-better-than-you-expect?utm_campaign=anthonybrownpkp&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
  21. What teams would you really like to see on the Mean Green non-conference schedule in the next few years? I personally think TCU and Tech would be fun games to see but I feel like there's good out of state teams that would make great games too.
