Picture of actual new UNT 2014 Football Helmet
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
That's one slick helmet there. Next up, a little burnt Orange scuffs on it thanks to a physical victory down south. -

That's fine. I'll be taking UNT on that line any day. -

25 maps that explain college football

Absolutely! Lone Star is a nice, cheap beer, but Shiner gives you everything you could want in a beer from Texas. -
Prediction: UNT vs. Minnesota in Heart of Dallas Bowl
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
We'd have to be clad in burnt Orange and crimson for that too happen -
No, nothing like that. Nick has been a firm believer that bands like Ohio St. And aTm have nice routines, but always come up short in the musicality department. Honestly, that's why we're so much better. Also, they're not saving up for the bowl game either. Traveling in general is so expensive for the marching band that they'd blow almost all their budget on just one trip a year, so you'd have to forget about new instruments, equipment, and probably do away with the basketball band just to cover it.

UNT Game Rumor from UT Longhorn Camp
Jason Howeth replied to Don Allman's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't think a comparison to the Georgia game is appropriate at all. We were a Vertu different team last year with much more stability. I also don't think Strong's team can hit 50 against us. Let's be honest here, Chuck, the last head coach that allowed those numbers was kicked out of Dodge. -
NM bowl makes sense geographically. Not sure I would afford the Hawaii.

Ranking of Most Anticipated Mean Green Football Games
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I've definitely noticed it and I love it. Pigeon kind of made me mad in the beginning, but then I got over it and they posted better articles. NT is definitely getting a bigger internet presence at the least.- 30 replies

2 Weeks Until Texas Football: North Texas Preview
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
As far as I remember, all OOC games are umpired by third-party conference officials. -
I'd rather spend money on coaches that win than wearing a badass uniform. That said, having both would be awesome.

It’s time for a UNT tradition — Get Your Rear on the Record

Rolled in there at 9-4 with a bowl win. -
And his runs int he HOD weren't particularly flawless either. I remember specifically a goalline play where he was in for DT and hopped like a jackrabbit as soon as he got the ball, just prior to handing it off. It was the strangest motion by a QB that I've seen.

I like their different color scheme, but someone overstepped their Instagram filters on this picture.

Gosselin: Why UNT-Texas in Week 1 will be closer than you expect
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I really don't understand the problem with bloggers using the word "small" or "smaller." Is it really a big deal that the world know we're not actually a small school? Should we be perceived any higher or greater because we're not a small school? Hell, take a look at UTSA with it's 30,000 students. I don't hear it's students or alumni complaining about being considered "small," they're just doing something about it. The less we accentuate a blogger's use of the term, the less they use it themselves. But even still, it's justified in a lot of ways at the moment, so just let it go.- 15 replies

Coach Mccarney state of the Mean Green Address
Jason Howeth replied to BillySee58's topic in Mean Green Football
What's so wrong with self-promotion? It's not like he's wrong... And would you rather him come out and say "Yeah, we have a lot of challenges to get through, and to be honest I'm not sure if I can out-coach these other guys. Our guys are talented, but I might hold them back." EVEN if that was true, there's no coach in history from elementary P.E. to NFL that would say anything remotely close to that. -
Why not North Texas?!

It’s time for a UNT tradition — Get Your Rear on the Record
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
There will be some good teams this year, but I doubt we're going to have enough over a 7-5 record to cover all of our bowl tie-ins. a few 6-6 C-USA teams will still make a bowl over 7-5 or even 8-4 Sun Belt teams. -

Would you really change a W to an L, or vice versa, based on who is under center? -
How will David Ash react to his first hit?
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Aren't all OOC games reffed by other conference officials? Also, he'll react like a re-injured player when Zachary Whitfield puts the hurt on him. If only our O-line could play both ways though... -
Just rejoice that we're not experimenting like Oregon or Baylor.
