  1. OOF. Not looking hot this season. Really sad it's Mason's last year. Need to win out to salvage the season. I just don't see how it can be turned around at this point.
  2. Going to be nice to witness the 8th win of the season during homecoming week. 😉 GMG!
  3. Ok, I've spent a little more time than I would have liked to trying to figure out what this shoulder pads guys is even trying to communicate. Is he implying that everyone in Birmingham wears shoulder pads when they talk to each other? He also made a random statement that "this is a grown man sport". I guess my response would be "In North Texas, we communicate with each other via means of spoken and written words, hand signals, the internet, and a variety of other ways. McDonalds is a hamburger place."
  4. For what it's worth... ESPN has UAB at a -1.5 but espn can definitely be wrong... really wrong... they had Akansas as like a 20 point winner iirc.
  5. In regards to the MF run call last game... I'm against it as well, but would we be singing a different tune if he some how bolted down the field untouched and scored?
  6. If money is the only factor as why Seth would leave, then I consider that a win. We can find the money somewhere. But if it's something else... I dunno.
  7. Playing for the kids is awesome. It's also terrifying. They are going to be playing with a ton of emotion and drive. We need to have our best performance of the season on Saturday or this could go south... quick. I appreciate how humble and respectful the coach of UAB is.
  8. Maybe not a consistent attention grabber but NT and Old Dom have both been in national news this season.
  9. 34 NT (We keep it on the ground due to weather, and as I mentioned in a previous thread, we have had practice playing in the rain lately) 31 UAB (We hold them to several field goals) NT squeaks by with the W bobbling in our hands, we win with a miracle field goal in the rain.
  10. Good grief. How awful. Feeling very bad for him. Surprised he even played. I know it might be an outlet for some but I don't think I would be capable.
  11. I'm prolly going to buy season tickets for next season. Missed out this year.
  12. Luckily we have had some practice lately playing on a wet field.
  13. Call me crazy, but I think UTEP takes the W over LA Tech. They are absolutely starving for a win. They gave us a run for our money.
  14. Attendance will be better for homecoming I'm sure. Let's face it, right now we don't like rain or the possibility of getting rained on. I wasn't able to make this game and it wasn't because of weather. However, I did watch the game on TV. I was keeping an eye on social media but didn't really see them saying things like "hey it's not raining out here at Apogee, come on over!" it was more like "Lightning hasn't struck for 30 minutes within 8 miles, game on. Also, no umbrellas are allowed." We need to attack this issue from several different directions and I think social media might be one of them. It wasn't necessarily a good thing for the program when we lost to La tech with a 30k+ crowd. (I was there and "did my part") Ok, so Littrell had one, now the fans get one. Let's get even when we play Rice. See y'all at the game. Maybe the stadium should keep a giant stock pile of ponchos on hand. I would throw five bucks at someone for a mean green poncho. Poncho beer and a taco for $15.
  15. The Battle of Gonzalez would have went much differently if this was the cannon presented. I appreciate UTSA for bringing this to their game.
  16. My kids are so young I have to get a baby sitter in order for the wife and I to make it out, so right now, game start time isn't really a factor.
  17. Hope that blocked Pat isn't what costs us the game
