  1. DENTON, Texas — Here in Texas the state's top ten largest universities are all working to be more inclusive and welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community — from The LGBTQ+ Pride Center at Texas A&M University, to the LGBTQ conference held earlier this year by University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Whether it’s to make more enrolled students feel included, or to capture the attention of prospective high school seniors all are holding events and offering services catered to queer and questioning students. The University of North Texas in Denton is ranked number six in enrollment numbers but aims to be number one when it comes to offering services to students with the University’s Pride Alliance office. The office opened in the fall semester of 2013 on National Coming Out Day and is a unit of UNT’s Division of Institutional Equity & Diversity. The program was created to provide a campus office to specialize in resources on gender and sexuality and a safe space for marginalized orientations, gender identities, intersex, and questioning students. read more: https://spectrumlocalnews.com/tx/south-texas-el-paso/news/2021/05/20/how-unt-is-trying-to-be-a-welcoming-place-to-lgbtq--students--
  2. I think it would have to be a Portland State type of season for SL to be canned. Bennett got a 2 year deal and that sort of solidified that they would keep SL around another year.
  3. OU will follow Texas’ lead.
  4. They hired a great recruiter who knows exactly how to win at a very high level. They have amazing facilities and unlimited support/resources just like us. Our coach is still learning and growing in the position.
  5. The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns would apparently like to make a pair of prep standouts from The Lonestar State a part of their 2022 college football signing class. Ashton Jeanty, who currently attends Lone Star High School, located in Frisco, Texas, shared on social media on Tuesday that he has received an offer from Louisiana. 6. It is taking longer but I still have confidence in him.
  7. It has been chronicled here and in other places that Jalie has suffered more than her fair share of injuries and thus should be given more time. Look at her roster now and you will see it dripping with high major talent. Her problem is she struggles to keep them all happy which is not uncommon. I just wish people would go a little easier on our alums in terms of job reviews.
  8. Is there a letterman specific room at Apogee or not? There was one under the stands at Fouts on the alumni side and you would go there prior to, at halftime and after games. They served beer and sandwiches as I recall. It wasn’t fancy but it worked.
  9. Tell us more about your visit. Did you get to spend anytime on campus? Bookstore?
  10. Why is Austin able to transfer to a non conference opponent? Doesn’t seem right.
  11. Huge pickup! Our WR Corp is solid people! GMG
  12. Preston Stone was a huge recruit who might push for the gig right away, sophomore Derek Green is coming off a strong spring, and Oklahoma transfer Tanner Mordecai could take the job and run away with it. It’s a good situation, but it’ll take a little more time. – The receiving corps is terrific. All-star tight end Kylen Granson is done, but the Mustangs are bringing in three outstanding options in the transfer portal, starting with Grant Calcaterra who caught 41 passes and scored nine times at Oklahoma. The top three wide receivers are back, led by top target Rashee Rice coming off a 48-catch season, and with Reggie Roberson averaging close to 22 yards per grab. – The passing game might be splashy, but the running backs put up huge numbers in this attack. Ulysses Bentley has 1,000-yard back potential and should push for double-digit touchdowns again – he ran for 11 last season – but he won’t carry the load alone with Tre Siggers coming in from North Texas. read more: https://www.google.com/amp/s/collegefootballnews.com/2021/05/smu-college-football-preview-2021/amp

  14. South Alabama added a Division I offensive line transfer for the second straight day on Thursday, picking up a commitment from former North Texas guard Anterrious Gray. The 6-foot-2, 307-pound Gray started all 10 games at left guard for the Mean Green in 2020. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining with the Jaguars, who got a commitment from former Michigan State tackle Justin Stevens on Wednesday. read more: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.al.com/sports/2021/05/south-alabama-adds-former-north-texas-offensive-lineman-anterrious-gray.html%3foutputType=amp
  15. BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuenteannounced several additions to Tech's football player personnel and recruiting staffs on Thursday. Beau Davidson has been promoted to director of recruiting, Leah Joseph joins the staff as director of on-campus recruiting and Lino Lupinetti will serve as assistant director of personnel and recruiting. Davidson originally joined Tech as an offensive quality control coach in 2018 and spent the 2020 campaign as assistant director of player personnel. The Katy, Texas native has been instrumental in helping the Hokies land numerous talented players from across the country. During his stint as a quality control coach for the Hokies, he worked closely with Vance Vice and Tech's offensive line unit. He joined Tech after spending the 2017 season as defensive coordinator at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. He spent the 2010-16 campaigns in the Texas high school coaching ranks, working in a variety of coaching roles across the state, in addition to teaching chemistry and special education classes. In 2009, he served as defensive line coach at Northeastern State University where current Tech offensive coordinator Brad Cornelsenwas the offensive coordinator at the time. Davidson's resume also includes a stint at Trinity Valley Community College in 2008 after serving as a graduate assistant at his alma mater of North Texas in 2007. A three-year letterman at North Texas, Davidson played tight end and served as a long snapper for the Mean Green. 17. Seems like a more proactive approach to this year’s event. Having PB available certainly doesn’t hurt.
