While I have already been in this board saying we should just support the team no matter the opponent. I'm sure those who wished for a different opponent will, come game time, support the team. However, I do get the other side too... Players read the board? Then they should be happy that many think we could have beaten a Michigan. I think the bowl committee may have done us a favor this time around with a team that has many similarities to ours. We should be scared of no one, but respect every opponent. You site UTSA? If we are worried about the opponent and whether or not they will bring fans when the bowl is in our back yard, then then there is no hope. People don't want to come? They'll wish they did. We have to take care of our business. Try to get people to come, if they don't, well so be it. There will be those that do. I wasn't able to go to the NO bowls and I've regretted it ever since. I never thought it would take us ten years to get back... So I'm excited as he'll for this team to get a shot and for me to be able to watch them take it UNLV and show the bowl committees they didn't make a mistake in selecting us.

Unlv doesn't seem all that excited about the bowl game, or at least the coach doesn't.

If we would have taken care of business at home against UTSA this would be a non-issue. The fact is ESPN controls all of this. There is no getting around it. Is it right? No. But it is the nature of the beast that is going to feed our conference our share of bowl revenue. I read somewhere there was 10 bowl qualified teams not going anywhere. A big 10 team would have been sexy, but I think we have a good matchup. A high ciber offense vs a stout Defense, should make for a good game.

I don't care who we play. Just man up and quite crying about it. For all that is holy. We're in a bowl game for God's sakes. Just be there. The team needs to show up. We have to show up. Win and then maybe we'll earn some respect. Or maybe others were too afraid to lose to us. Whatever the reason just get your ass in a seat and quite your bitching.

Not a bad looking trophy, but their write up about big ten and 12 not being able to fill is not entirely correct. Cusa was slated this year. It alternates.
