  1. Not sure about the P & Z part, but the city will have to be involved in drainage, sewage, water, etc.
  2. I'm going to check into this. Which one? or All chrome on both?
  3. Speak to various community organizations?
  4. babyarm, Great signature pic!!
  5. Hey, that's where I sit! Now do you know who I am?
  6. Excuse my ignorance, but what is this area by the athletic village? Indoor practice facility under construction?
  7. I'll add that it means a potential D1A win for Baylor. They must figure the odds are in their favor to beat Buffalo; just the opposite for UNT. And just a guess, but should Baylor become bowl eligible, including a win over Buffalo, the financial gain for a B12 team in a bowl game may outweigh the cost of a trip to NY. Just a guess. I could be wrong.
  8. I've been concerned about our lack of scheduling Texas school before Dodge was hired. But I agree that our situation could get worse, depending on how successful TD is.
  9. I'm glad that someone else brought this up. I was looking at the future schedules of Big 12 and CUSA Texas teams, plus other teams from surrounding states, and I'm amazed that we are not on any of their schedules other than this years SMU game. I sure hope our AD is hard at work trying to schudule Baylor, TCU, TxTech, SMU, Houston, UTEP, Rice, Tulsa, Houston, Tulane, Oklahoma State, La Tech, etc. We must continue to play these schools. And I don't necessarily mean the UT's and A $ M's of the world(although I'd like to go up against the Aggie$ again. Look at the Aggie$ schedule this year. Montana State and ULM. Last year they played The Citadel and a couple of other lame schools. Why not keep the money in the state of Texas and schedule UNT?
  10. Thanks. I'm sure that a professional graphic artist could really do a great job on the same concept.
  11. Less than two hours for Mean Green Sports to give us th daily outlook on the linebackers.
  12. If the AD thinks SMU is the cause for all things that don't go our way, then it's time the Administration, AD, and BOR starts "smoozing" the folks on the hill. We need make them our best friends. Do a selling job on them.
  13. Good stuff NT80. At this point and time, I think we need to get back to our winning ways ASAP. With Dodge at the helm, if he can bring in exiting, winning football to Denton, I think the interest in North Texas will elevate in a short time. If I had to list the top two on your list - 1. Winning football (I'm not talking about beating up on SBC teams, I mean spanking the likes of SMUt, beating Navy, playing OU and Arkansas tough, then trashing any other teams we come up against. Can we do it, I simply don't know at this point and time. 2. Stadium Accomplish these two items with Dodge ball and the other eight will come sooner than expected by some.
  14. Why not, at the very least, have SOW in background as a 20% screen. Then have the stacked North Texas over SOW. As the years go by and the world associates North Texas and SOW, remove the verviage and leave just the Son Of Worm. Smitty, can you give it a shot?
  15. Sure you have. Prior to this years Fiesta Bowl, Boise State has been the InHumane Bowl's resident team for several years now. With a couple of exceptions, of course.
  16. Gee. I've never viewed the UT whorn logo quite like that.
  17. On that, we agree. I mention the SOW because it is now a part of our official branding. I prefer the interlocking Exes NT also, but it's just not going to happen. How unfortunate. I just believe SOW is better than the name plastered across the helmet.
  18. Very little difference between the current Southlake helmet and the proposed North Texas helmet. Wonder if Southlake will change from the current Dragon decal to the name spelled out? Todd, listen to your new fans at NT. Give us SOW on the helmets.
  19. No. 2 Sooners Down UNT, 9-2 Courtesy: SoonerSports.com Release: 04/11/2007 Courtesy: SoonerSports.com Samantha Ricketts NORMAN, Okla. — OU starter Lauren Eckermann pushed her record to 26-1 as the No. 2 Oklahoma softball team stepped out of conference play Wednesday night and beat North Texas, 9-2, in Denton, Texas. The second-ranked Sooners improved to 42-4 on the year while North Texas fell to 16-27. The Sooner offense, which leads the nation in batting average and runs scored, combined for 10 hits behind Samantha Ricketts’ 4-for-5 outing with four RBI and Norrelle Dickson’s 2-for-3 performance. Mariee Mena also added two RBI in the contest. Including her four RBI tonight, Ricketts owns 67 on the season, only trailing the OU single season record by 10 (77 by Lisa Carey). Eckermann, the Big 12 leader in wins, scattered five hits and allowed two runs while striking out nine Mean Green batters. The junior recorded her 21st complete game of the season.
  20. Browsing on another teams athletic website, I noticed an interesting link on their home page. I won't mention the school 'cause they may get the big head. Anyhow, they called it "ALUMNUS DATABASE REGISTRATION". I checked the Mean Green Sports site and did not see a similar link. This could be a good way for former students, general fans, etc., to register with the Athletic Department and have their name added to the database. I thought it was a pretty good idea.
  21. Not to mention there have been "no practice photos".
  22. Alas, many of us are still waiting on the "big Spring announcement" on the stadium.
  23. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth in aggieland. Just to tell you how big basketball is in aggieland the past few years, my sister and brother-in-law, typical die-hard football fans for the past hundred years, actually had season tickets for basketball this past season. This is unheard of! Believe me, aggie$ like to win and they will find a suitable replacement. Maybe dig into their feeder campus in Corpus Christi and bring in Ronnie Arrow?
