  1. The is an official DeepGreen Reality Check. Wake up people!
  2. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have been scarred for life with the black uniform debacle pulled by Darrell Dickey. No more black uniforms in any combination. I still have nightmares.
  3. Beginning my Freshman year in 1964 and applying the x-factor curve for Dickey Ball, I'd say about 5,852 games.
  4. The Mean Green athletic web site has the 2007 football roster with bios. The pictures of the new recruiting class will probably come in August but the writeups are posted now. 2007 FB Roster
  5. The Normal Football Team being cheered to victory by abnormal fans. Photo Courtesy of Rick Yeatts Photography
  6. So what's your point? This is DCTF, 2007 Edition, the "Bible of Texas Football" for crying out loud!
  7. Let's be diplomatic about this NT80. Quick, which helmet stands out the best.
  8. For the record, I've been searching the WalMarts, HEB's and WalGreens all week for DCTF, but no luck. Until today that is. I bought it less than an hour ago it at a Super WM that I visited earlier this week.
  9. All I know is that a $67.5 million endowment for a university founded in 1890 and having 32,000+ students is down right pathetic and pretty embarassing. 4% giving by NT Alumni helps keeps us in the 4th tier of public universities.
  10. I think DD just got lazy, or didn't care in his last few years at NT, plus his running battle with RV and the Asst. Coaches salaries saga. BTW, let me say that I think we should pay our Asst. Coaches more money because we are probably behind many programs as to compensation for good assistants. Do any of you know whether DD made many recruiting trips or in home visits to "seal the deal" during his last 3-4 years at NT? Or, did he deligate and leave the decisions to his assistants, like the now infamous Ramon Flanagan? I can remember DD actually coming to SE Texas with Chuck Mills on recruiting visits during his early tenure at NT. Haven't seen an Assistant, much less DD, down here since Freddie Kitchens. I know Todd Dodge has already changed that thinking.
  11. All great players who I had the honor of watching. But who replaced them? DD's well ran dry.
  12. My thoughts exactly! Zach and NT got screwed. I don't know all the facts regarding the smu player and Muzzy but this sure smells of descrimination by the NCAA.
  13. Let's win first. Then just act like we were expected to win. No goalposts, no nagging the fans.... just act like it was all in a days work as expected.
  14. Then why do recruits mention other school's football camps?
  15. "Dupree reports a 2.4 core GPA and a 650 SAT." Is there a problem here? What are the minimum nowadays for recruits?
  16. For a successful, long-lasting marriage, remember these words. Ain't nobody happy if Momma ain't happy!
  17. I just returned from Hawaii while on vacation there. That, my friend, is a very long plane ride, and one that I wouldn't care to make again any time soon. That is, unless you plan to fly First Class.
  18. Good thing I was accepted and graduated from UNT a long time ago.
  19. You are using my recruiting book too, eh? Maybe this new commit was recruited as a running back.
  20. UTEP(El Paso), UH(Houston), SMU(Dallas), Tulsa(Oklahoma), Rice(Houston), UCF(Florida). Deep South footbrpint? Plummer, you must be talking about the left footprint. The shame of it all is that if five of those schools were to make a bold step, and another 4-5 select schools, UNT, La Tech, ASU, New Mexico State, and one other, you would have an excellent, regional "Super Southwest Conference".
  21. I see nothing wrong with the Notre Dame uniforms. If they made the top 10, how come Penn State is not on the list?
  22. You play UCF for the guaranteed win in the Florida recruiting hotbed.
