  1. The way Tune baited the defender before making the shovel pass, knowing he was gonna get smacked, was a wonder to behold. This guy is a leader.
  2. It doesn't look bad at all. Clemson's D-Line is just a fearsome beast to behold. Especially Bowers. Tune isn't getting much time to scan the field. Thus far, he's proven to be a very cool customer.
  3. Dude. Ease up on this one. Your original statement was a little too broad to the point of being inflammatory. It's a crazy thing.
  4. You know, I actually get, and am somewhat sympathetic to, the concern over the mercenary nature of the player in question. But, if he consistently seals off a side of the line, throws some hellacious blocks on an edge rusher, and catches 50+ balls and 8+ scores this year, he can do what the heck he wants with his money in the future and it'll be a wash as far as I'm concerned. Blount spoiled us with high expectations. Blame him.
  5. Should we start a poll now deciding which poster will be our Joe Mauer?
  6. There's gonna be a monorail around the new stadium???? Cool.
  7. Listen, would two of you sign up at the same time so he can start bragging about that too. But seriously, we need a couple more. Oh yeah. Brah.
  8. But I don't see any tigers around, do you?
  9. Given the way the last few seasons have started out, how about Two Out of Three Ain't Bad Place.
  10. What Stebo said. Welcome to your baptism by fire to journalism 101 in the internet age. Keep one thing in mind: Beyond all of our specific interest in UNT Football, sports reporting is a resevoir of narratives about life in general. Nathan falls under the "Paid his Dues" storyline. Deep down, we're all pulling for him because he's demonstrated loyalty and tenacity, the kind of qualities that are often overlooked in this high-glitz age of reputation and glamour, and the type of qualities that serve one well in life in general. I hope the dude gets the nod and knocks it out of the park for that reason, but am also sure that the coaches will make the best decision for the team after everything's been evaluated.
  11. I'm willing to do it again this year so long as Peyton Manning gives me a written guarantee that he won't sit out any meaningless game 16s again this year. Hate that guy.
  12. Yep. Comparing two guys who aren't playing quarterback for us next year. Gotta love the offseason. Who's a better tackler: Zombie Landry or Zombie Ditka? [Edit: not about any specific post, just the general madness that overtakes us so close to the season starting]
  13. What you have to understand is that HOF awards take into account the totality of one's contributions to the image of the school. USC has a top-ranked film school, so it's understandable that they're keeping Simpson in the ranks. James Lipton wishes he could have interviewed the genius who played Nordberg.
  14. Scatalogical philologer

  15. A sack so good you'd hit it twice in the same night.

  16. I take a 6 day hiking trip and miss the greatest thread of all time. I'll prove it by marrying it. I'm just sayin'.
