  1. I'm looking very forward to your new developments. I appreciate your talents, and that you are using them for a mighty good cause. Thank you, sir!
  2. Exactly right. Dodge is not only a great coach, he is great at dealing with people. The press will get access to him and the team, but they will need to learn when that access is available.
  3. When Coach Dodge was introducing the new recruits, he consistently pronounced Vizza like Pizza.
  4. I believe that we have a verbal from Derek Tomlin of SLC--the slip up might be attributed to hoping that we do land a certain player from SLC named Blake.
  5. The Chicago Blackhawks' organist used to play the theme of the Godfather whenever Mike Peluso's name was called. That's right, Chicago, home of Al Capone--they've seen them a few Eye-talian fellers around those parts.
  6. Of course, if you just throw Vizza to the dogs, it might change the way he handles pressure. I agree, it sounds like the kid has confidence, but you want to develop that confidence, not destroy it. Like Florida did with Tebow last year, break him in by putting him in situations where he can be successful.
  7. Not sure exactly what you mean there.
  8. The references to our uniforms looking like SLC's get under my skin a little bit, but this is a very good article.
  9. My first away game was also at TCU; I think it was in '97 or '98. I likewise was pretty depressed by our offensive philosophy in that game.
  10. I really don't think these guys did their homework.
  11. So you think we'll go up in these rankings after week one, and some actual stats?
  12. Pretty interesting read. What does this have to do with NT football? You might check the YouTube link under Daniel Sepulveda. Kinda makes you cringe. Link to FOX Sports article
  13. I probably wasn't too clear with what I posted earlier. What I meant was that the current players would usually want to keep the numbers they have already been playing with--not be honored by changing their number to that a former great once they have demonstrated outstanding play.
  14. Greenmom, thanks for the update. We all wish Johnny (and all our ex-Mean Green heroes) well.
  15. Most players become pretty attached to the numbers that they wear. I don't think they'd be that honored to have to relinquish the numbers they have worn throughout their NT career.
  16. It seems that a prospect's 40 time is the holy grail of recruiting, when it does not necessarily say a whole lot about how the player performs at his position. How often does a tackle have to run 40 yards at a time? I haven't seen him play, but I have seen some favorable comments on his footwork and game speed. I don't think he'll be a bust.
  17. I would like to hear what exactly the Star-Telegram reported, because from this it sure does not sound like he's gone--not yet, anyway.
  18. If I had to pick one upset, it would be Troy.
