I would expect any Pac-12 leftovers (assuming the conference dies) to prefer the American over the MWC for the same reasons that the Pac-12 is dying in the first place. That's assuming they couldn't figure out some deal to join the Big XII or the ACC.

UNT could very easily fail upwards again. That said, there are only going to be 2-3 "real" conferences after this, and neither of them will be named PAC-12 or Big XII.

If he wanted a platform to espouse his controversial views, there are infinitely more and better opportunities than what's probably the second most liberal school in the state. Why the pause? Also, I'm not sure what would be the equivalent insult of calling a transgender woman, 'a clearly confused man in a dress.' If you don't recognize that as heinous... That we can agree on. There's a difference of being tolerant of someone whose views you disagree with, and expecting someone to be tolerant of hate and bigotry. Back to the old tried and true...

No semantics were used. I said I don’t engage with hateful people. You used that to call my character into question and turn yourself into some sort of bizarre victim of my statement. My use of lashing out had nothing to do with disagreement and everything to do with your belittling of me as a person despite knowing nothing of me outside of “my type.”

I'll bite. Communication studies (and by close relation, psychology) teaches that gender is a social construct while sex refers specifically to biology (reproductive organs, chromosomes, hormones, etc).

Had a long typed out reply that rambled too much for my taste. I'm not going to debate someone who's racist, homophobic, transphobic, classist, and/or ignorant (not referring to you, saying in general). I'm sure there are ways of changing some peoples' minds on those types of things, and props to the people who have that level of patience...I'm just not one of them.
