I love baseball, played it all my life and never attended a TCU game, but I would a NT game. Why? I am a graduate of NT. I don't dislike TCU, their former coach was a student of my dad's at NT, but I don't care enough about them to drive to Fort Worth and see them.

Well, if the above qualifies as "highschoolish" then every 1A team is high schoolish. Don't you think Tennessee fans get tired of listening to Rocky Top or OU fans with Boomer Sooner? What about Florida State and the indian chant or Florida and the gator chomp? What about TD's, drives, tackles, touchdown, etc...? How about just standing up and cheering? These aren't traditions.
