  1. Come on, the softball team averaged 200 fans in their first season in the on campus stadium.
  2. Roster By Position Here it is listed by position. The WR's are at the bottom.
  3. or he becomes Vic Trilli's bench coach/top assistant.
  4. Okay DaddyDumps, above are your suggestions from the beginning of this thread. If you would look at www.meangreensports.com you would see that there is already a cheer for kickoffs. The suggestions for inside the 15 yard line are fine, but aren't these basically stolen from Duke basketball? Oh, and please don't question emmitt. He has plastered schedules all over storefronts throughout Denton, served BBQ to the team, been one of the Green Backers that set out to make tailgating a tradition, etc...
  5. I see a heavy dose of Norah Jones, Don Henley, Pat Boone, Roy Orbison, etc...
  6. PMG DJ/Emceeing a wedding reception? I'd rather experience that than NT/OU.....Okay, maybe not.
  7. Would love to know if Meager, WW, Tune are doing the same. A leader needs to step forward on the offensive side of the ball.
  8. Good Lord! Change your name to DaddyDumbS%!t. Funny....Dark, but funny, and I can think of some that don't have to be randomly selected.
  9. As they say, "the proof is in the pudding!"
  10. I love baseball, played it all my life and never attended a TCU game, but I would a NT game. Why? I am a graduate of NT. I don't dislike TCU, their former coach was a student of my dad's at NT, but I don't care enough about them to drive to Fort Worth and see them.
  11. Don't lump me in your "We" crowd.
  12. Slightly off topic, but I hope they bring back the Thunderstruck intro. That crap they rolled out last year was a whipping.
  13. FFR, do you have a link to this article in the Troy paper?
  14. From my time at NT, Lance White/Byron Gross Current Era: The Four Horsemen, "Kassell, Spencer, Hurd, Casey." Couldn't pick just one.
  15. So, don't publish your totals out of embarrasment? Give me a break. NT has never stated their season ticket sales.
  16. So because nobody wants to sing "Fly Like An Eagle" makes this a non-tradition? Cheering? However each person chooses to. You want to yell, then yell. You want to clap your hands, then clap your hands. Cheering/clapping for a good play in unison doesn't make a tradition. Tradition is a lot of things: Midnight Yell Practice at A&M is tradition. Making the "Hookem' Horns" with your hand is tradition at UT. The running of the Sooner Schooner is tradition at OU. Watching crappy football is tradition at SMU. Rocky Top is tradition at Tennessee Lighting the tower at UT is tradition. Traditions at NT: Firing Boomer The Model A The Victory Bell Lighting the Administration Bldg. North Texas chant is becoming tradition "Fly Like An Eagle" Just because everyone doesn't participate or doesn't like the song, such as you, doesn't mean it is not a tradition. If that were the case, we would be changing traditions every year. A tradition happens over time not over night.
  17. Well, if the above qualifies as "highschoolish" then every 1A team is high schoolish. Don't you think Tennessee fans get tired of listening to Rocky Top or OU fans with Boomer Sooner? What about Florida State and the indian chant or Florida and the gator chomp? What about TD's, drives, tackles, touchdown, etc...? How about just standing up and cheering? These aren't traditions.
  18. When it is the Athletic Department's money, I don't think they get a say in it.
  19. If you know you have sold more tickets by the end of May than you had all of last year, at least give of last year's number. What's the big secret anyway?
  20. I would replace the coaches pictures and links to their bios with pictures of The Dancers and links to their bios. Excellent work.
  21. From the DRC: www.meangreensports.com Article
  22. No, my guess is that he is in the market for binoculars and what wondering what magnification strength to purchase.
