  1. I do too. Probably the best known use of the pride sticker in the NCAA is Ohio State. The buckeye sticker is a classic. Any other favorites out there?
  2. Excellent post except for drinking Lone Star. Just plain nasty beer. Couple of eateries you shouldn't miss in and around Denton: All the ones list above. Denton County Hamburger on the Square Trail Dust Steakhouse about 10 miles east of town on 380. Ponder Steak House about 10 miles west of town. Frillies for good cajun. Metzler Bros. BBQ...head to Lindsay, about 30 minutes north of town, if you have time. Fouts Field tailgating BBQ Babe's Fried Chicken in Roanoke...about 15 minutes south of town.
  3. Okay, you've just been elevated to moron status. And to answer the question posed in the title of this never-ending thread.... "We'll kick their A$$ again, only this time in their house!"
  4. Wasn't Hardman a defensive end?
  5. The only way we'll find out is if one of us stands up at the first game and hollers, "All season ticket holders, please raise your hand!" Count'em and you've solved the great mystery.
  6. Exactly. This is the uniform style that UA provides and I don't think a kelly green helmet would look good with this uniform. Other than the first few years of my life, all I have known is a green helmet for NT, so I'll have to get used to the white. Whatever it ends up being, I hope it stays that way for years except we need SOW on the helmet and not "North Texas."
  7. That would make more sense. I keep forgetting that he is part of the 07 class and not the 08.
  8. You all are hilarious. They contacted the SBC. The article never states that the Sun Belt is after them. Calm down.
  9. Last time I fished there was in the early 90's, so I'm not sure if they have closed access now or what. You should be able to walk downstream, which is the Elm Fork of the Trinity and fish though. It is probably too late in the year now, but that has always been a pretty good place to fish during the early to mid spring when the fish start their spawn.
  10. Great to have you on board. Your sense of humor will serve you well on here. We are pleased to have the "Godfather," as he has been dubbed, in Denton.
  11. So has Addidas. I noticed in the paper this morning that TCU and Michigan have left Nike for Addidas.
  12. I thought the same thing. Of coure, Mumme doesn't have the cleanest record out there.
  13. caliuntfan, welcome to the board. You seem to have quite a bit of information from players, to uniforms, etc... What is your connection to the team?
  14. North Texas defensive tackle of all time. Heck, since two line up in our 4-3, and we've historically been a 4-3 team, pick your top 2. I'm predicting a short list. Joe Greene Brandon Kennedy Honorable Mention: I always appreciated Evan Cardwell. He was the "Larry Cole" of North Texas.
  15. Make sure your new Mean Green shirt.
  16. I like your idea, but remember that one endzone with have the AC in it, so don't expect any seating around the south endzone.
  17. Depending on what you are wanting to catch, the bridge off of 380 is a great place to fish for crappy and sandbass when flooded. We used to double jig our lines back in college. Also, the spillway at Ray Roberts is another good area for crappy.
