I been to plenty of boards over the past several years...those whos team are successfull and those that are not...but it just seems to me that its the same song, second verse when it come to DD and this program... If you dont like him fine, if you think he's not htat great of a coach fine...I enjoy listening/reading others opinions, but its the same frickin thing day in and day out, season in and season out...the complaints on this board are the same complaints certain people had when we had success. I dont get it!!!

This board has the most BITCHIN on it from any board I've ever been on in my entire life...My God people get a life!!! I've been to practices, where we "the fans" are on the sidelines with in 10 ft of the huddle, even close to the team as the coach is addressing them before and after practice. We should be thankful for those things, any other "REAL" program would have the fans in the stands away from the team. Now, let me address "real"...I've seen several comments from time to time referring to we need to be a "Real D-1" football program...well after spending a few years around several programs, you could rest assure that something would change all of which people on this board would still find a reason to BITCH. One, we would not be allowed on the field---no questions asked, two, the coach would not address the fans after a practice, even if you served him a 20 oz steak...it just doesn't happen---unless you have a sizeable check in hand or would like to make a check our to the program. Three, fans at the programs are treated as fans, they are not catered to, they are treated like fans...if you want to be catered to then write a check. It is what it is...the true fact of the matter, there should not have been a fan within 50 yards of the team listening to the Coach address his team...regardless of what he said. As for the comments about the AD, they are as irrelevant as you opinion...RV has done nothing but positive things for NT as any AD in the past 30 years. In closing, I'm sure that this will be thought of as a cheap shot at those who have posted before me, and if you feel that way then good....POINT WELL MADE! Not to start an argument...but that field does not look FOUTS-ISH at all. That stadium is old, not sure if its as old as Fouts but for gods sake atleast theu can sit in the stands as see the game!

Maldanado is only 5'5", and maybe 150lbs, he would need to run about a 4.4 40 to be effective, otherwise he will get killed!!! If JT does not play, highly unlikely in my opinion, then you go with the veteran J mitchell, with d cox as the backup. One of the few stars on the team is JT (JQ) being the other star...no way, does anyone in the athletic dept let him not meet the requirements...TJ was a different story as was Byerly, those guys hadn't done anything, JT is a star, star dont sit out seasons!

I think alot of PC...but not as a coach!!! Shouldn't we be looking for a candidate with some skins on the wall (caoching skins). We need to start raiding these lower level schools. We should look at even some of the DI-AA schools...send some offers get some young innovative blood in here. Good Luck Patrick....I wish the best for you!!! I cannot wait to see tobe nwigwe, if i remember correctly he already had a big time frame and was fast...a year to watch and learn should work out fine for him. Also, noticed Korey Washington at WR...I thought he would be looked at as a DB? DO we have any dates and times yet for spring ball?

if he redshirted last year and played in games then the RS would be voided. That is juco ball, he would have the option to RS at NT if he could meet the requirements to enroll. My guess is that the fact that we havent heard anything is that he still has not met the requirements...could be waiting for spring semester to end or even enroll in summer...lets just hope he gets a different tutor then Joey had.

Problems in the locker room are a result of inefficientcies(sp?) on the field. I agree a waste of time and a 1 year scholarship. I wish Jimmy all the best as he plays against lesser talent...at lesser program...in at a lesser school, in a lesser town....i could go on forever.

Keller Fossil Ridge moved down to 4a as expected and will absolutley destroy their district. HP is a joke...I'm surprised to see Celina not weasel their way back into 2a...must have previewed a weak next couple of years in 3a.

That is correct that is a violation..no contact..of couse that happens on almost every visit to every college by almost every recruit, but it is against the rules. Now---would it still be against the rules if they happened to meet in a video room, and watched a couple of quick films of AA destroying offesive lineman as well as dunking on muts.

is losing a player to texas state really losing a player? there are things that are not in articles about kids who choose the smaller uni. their academics could be a reason, the fact that the kid may not adjust well under d-1 requirements...it could be a case where nt,tcu, and hou all have the backfields back, and this kid would not have an oppt to play. this kid obviously had options, d-1 options, all program who have had success, andhe chose tx state...good luck young man.

I agree with t g k, I would love to lose to SMU if we could win the rest. smu is important, very important, recruiting wise especially. Question: Did the QB at Trinity commit to tx state? If so would that have been a commitment based on acedemics (or lack there of). I thought I read that he was interested in NT...if so bring him in, he's a flat out athlete, can play QB, or corner.

YEAH youre right it is 1 more 100 yard game than JQ had,,but he had the frickin PLAYER OF THE YEAR as his QB. The 1 100 yard game was against FIU...are you serious? This guy has underperformed for his size. Sure people will look at him and think, 6-6 220lbs, maybe we should give him a shot...but he underperformed in the weakest league in D-1, and only managed 1 100 yd game. I dont get it...as for his finances---who knows. And the comment about the same TIMEFRAME, is the dumbest thing Ive ever heard...while this guys was catching on the average 30-40 yards a game...The MIGHTY was playing with Back to Back Rushing Champs...Doesnt quite balance out...does it. JQ makes the catches this guy could only hope to...and has the more grit than this guy wil ever have.

Noticed the the U La Mo Engines will be without Drouzon Quillen, the 6-6 220lb WR next year. For some reason, probably scholastically and the fact the he is in Monroe, LA....this kid declared for the NFL Draft. His less than spectacular career has ended (not sure if he has an agent yet-so he could still come back), but none the less the guy who could hold JQ's jock has declared. His 6-6 frame is appealing, but I would rather have grit (JQ) then this guy. Sure he torched our secondary for an incredible 72 yards, and had only 1, 100 yard game last year. I can only imagine this is a case of BAD ADVICE. Also, U La Mo lost the offensive coord to Miamu U. Could be a big hit?!?!?!
