After the TX/OU game in 09. I saw Craig Way at Fouts. He may be the voice of the Horns (a job a LOT of broadcasters want) but he still loves NT. I actually think he does a damn fine job as the voice of the Longhorns. His radio show is kind of boring. Where he really shines is High School football. He's a damn encyclopedia

With recent talk of conference realignment I'm curious what it would take to start a new conference that wasn't dependent on east coast or west coast schools. With the exception of the Big XII there's not a conference in the middle of the country that plays D1 football. There are plenty of schools in TX,ARK,LA,OK that may not be BCS caliber but equal enough to unite into a "New SWC". It needs to be done. What what are the obstacles? And I know we hate SMU and they hate us but that's all the more reason to play each other.

Craig Way is a class act and proud NT alum. Craig and George are good friends and both disciples of the great Bill Mercer. Every month or so I get to talk to Craig about NT. He's always happy to oblige me. After reading Mercer's book I have mixed emotions about Dunham. He does a good job though.

I graduated from Longview, the team Guyer beat. Guyer has lost two games in the last two years, both of them to Longview. I guess they finally got their revenge. Had to block a punt and score in the last minute to get it done. Congrats to them.

I've been off the board for a while because, you know... I'm a quitter. Let me lay out a scenario. 10 years from now the ship has been righted. We hire a coach, who in five years has us dominating the sunbelt. He leaves for greener pastures and his successor gets us to a BCS bowl in the next five years. This coach is heading to take over a BCS program. Meanwhile, Todd Dodge has risen through the collegiate ranks to be the OC of KState in a National title game. Riley has proven to be quite the effective position coach and it appears wherever Todd Dodge goes as the next head coach, Riley will be his OC. Assuming Villareal is still here, and about to have the stadium named after him, does he take another chance on the two Dodge's? It's fun to muse.
