  1. Unfortunately, the shade of green is not attached to Dodge. It is determined by this: http://www.unt.edu/identityguide/
  2. I have no doubt that in fine UNT tradition, the school will allow this ship to driven straight to the bottom of the ocean. Or in a new turn of events, change the coach as the team boards the plane for WKU and allow the new coach the flight to get everything in order.
  3. This one. WKU was upset because UNT was celebrating at midfield in the same fashion WKU started the game.
  4. My newphew is junior at UNT and has seen 1 home football win since he started school. He pointed out Saturday that the football team lost more games than the basketball team did last year and will probably do it again this year.
  5. Has anyone heard any info regarding the ticket prices for the new stadium? I was talking to a co-worker this morning who had a conversation with a person that is a Mean Green Club member that stated they had already been told ticket prices for next season. Anyone else been privy to this info? I am a MGC member and this is first I had heard of it.
  6. Sorry, I should have clarified. Our leading rushing/receiving/ball carrier type person outside of the QB was Craig Robertson. But you are absolutely correct - easy hyperbole is what is holding this team back. Good Lord!
  7. NT's leading offensive player tonight was Craig Robertson with 64 yards rushing. I'm not sure I have ever seen anything worse than this at Fouts. Except for him, we might have been outscored by the Rangers on Saturday.
  8. If you win, $30 million will get your name on the stadium! The suite would be an additional cost however.
  9. I think this post could go one of two ways. Are talking about stopping Dodge or this type of post? I don't think Dodge will be fired at midseason. It probably should happen, but I don't think anyone in this admin or enough of the fans around here have the stones to do it.
  10. Yes. Exactly like those teams. And we should beat every one of them and expect nothing less. Period.
  11. I didn't see this anywhere else, courtesy of ESPN. ATTENDANCE: 14,589 Hopefully we can pick up a few thousand for homecoming.
  12. I would call it poor clock management, but can you call it that when there is none? And right before our last punt, we stood in punt formation for 15 to 20 before taking the snap. KICK THE BALL ALREADY AND STOP THE CLOCK! A pile of tiny mistakes are turning into losses by small margins and it is not changing.
  13. Just picking on you KRAM. I routinely pick on UNT students for being "lost" because of the university on their clothing. But I will be there Saturday with green on - pick a shade - it will be green - or black - or white. But no red!
  14. So what I am supposed to wear this Saturday? The shirt of the school I got my undergrad degree from or the one I got my Masters from? Neither is UNT. And what about my dad? The shirt from where he went to school or where he taught? Or should I just make sure I don't sit close to KRAM1 on Saturday?
  15. "Also, the solid UNT rushing attack may prove to be enough to get the team past a complacent Louisiana defense, which has had its problems in the second half of games this season." After some of the 2nd half issues NT has had in last couple of years, stating that ULL's situation is worse than ours is amazing! What type of problems have they suffered?
  16. I'm sorry, but what self-respecting college group does not have a pair of bolt cutters? I mean, back in the day, that was like mandatory for every new pledge.
  17. Exactly. Even before the season, I didn't think this was game we would win. After the injuries, I didn't think there was chance. I am very happy to be proven wrong in this case! Great job Mean Green!
  18. I think "profit" for Division I is almost a side issue. How much would it cost you to run a 3 hour commercial on Saturday afternoon for your school. I think a large number of schools look at breaking even or even close to it as simply advertising. The PR is impossible to put a price tag on, not to mention any school merchandise that is purchased that is not counted in the athletic accounting.
  19. You left out the part about the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor, but point taken. +1
  20. This info is for all sports - not just football. But does UNT need to improve these numbers across the board? Without a doubt.
  21. Excellent! Even among other classic cars, it is hard to ignore a well maintained VW bug.
  22. So much for the laws of physics.

  23. Wishbone set? All of our RB's seem to be healthy so let's try that. We are going to be pass challenged regardless so let's try an off-beat run game.
  24. I think that Dodge may have some to the best fans in the world! I mean the guy is 5-34 and people are still defending him. I don't think anyone on here wishes him ill - everyone just wants him to win. Is that unreasonable? My undergrad alma mater is NCAA Div III and the hot topic there is if the football coach's job security. His first 3 seasons he was only 13-17 and has started off this season 1-2 after an upset loss in the first week of conference. At D-3, with playoffs on the line and only a 10 game season, if you don't average at least 5 wins a season you don't last long. Talking to a former roommate this weekend, he was amazed that Dodge was still here with that type of record. While is true that competition is a different at Div I, wins are still the goal.
