I disagree. I think a win, especially a blowout win, would matter to the student body and all of the people in Denton who say UNT never wins. A win is a win.

Interesting but UTSA opens with South Alabama. It will be worth watching that result to compare between a common opponent when we have South Alabama later in the year.

Great game! NT really took the 3 point shot away from DU in the 2nd half and that made the difference. #13 with the reverse layup slam was not bad either. Ref crew was below average for most middle school crews. The off ref out by half court was calling fouls under the basket. Neither coach seemed happy with the crew. At least it was consistent - consistently BAD!

WKU is losing a lot of offense with Rainey. There will have to be a lot of improvement at QB for them to be #2.

I think I would be somewhat satisfied with 5-7 for this year. That would represent the most wins for NT since our 7-5 record in 2004. 6-6 would be a big positive and nice first season for McCarney.

Brilliant idea of changing the game time. It has completely stopped the posting about our 2-5 record. We have a wedding Saturday at 2:00 so it does impact us. My daughter's only question - should she change or just wear the dress she is wearing to the wedding. Despite this board, there is hope for a Mean Green future.

Agreed. Indiana was on the waiting list last week. He must be contractually obligated to limit AQ conference teams on the list. It hurts the ESPN sponsored monopoly on college football money.

I believe that is in reference to purchase of the former Liberty Christian property and facilties. Another impressive statitic in that article: "Academically, UNT went from a 37 percent student-athlete graduation rate to 70 percent and in 2011 placed 170 student-athletes on the Sun Belt’s annual academic honor rolls." Compare that to the UNT Factbook for the graduation rate of the total student body, which has a rate of 53.4% and that number includes students that switch to other schools and graduate. Athletics does not get to include those numbers.

May I add that we only gave up 41 to Alabama? Still a lot of points, but I really do think the defense is looking a little better with each game.

According to the stats NCAA Tulsa Stats, Tulsa's ground game has been better than their passing game.

We asked our guy at the top of the stairs if he could move and after we explained why, he seemed ok with it. Once he moved down, I don't recall him ever moving back up to the platform.
