  1. Count me in as one of those many others. He wins ball games and recruits and that is enough for me.
  2. My husband just texted me the news! And I just thought y'all might want to know when you type holy crap! into your "smart phone" it changes it to holy veal... My husband and I will just have to agree to disagree. He thought he should get another chance due to all the injuries this year and I did not. I thought he should be gone and I was a huge supporter of him coming here. I wish him the best wherever he ends up because he is a good man and will be a good HC someday I think. Just not yet and not here.
  3. I don't know if he stared anyone down this time but towards the end of the game (we were in the endzone because our crazy 2 year old needed space to run) he was standing behind the endzone and he just hung his head down and shook it after we got the false start penalty. He looked just like I felt.
  4. As a mother that is our worst nightmare, having to bury your child. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
  5. Maybe Lewisville or Grapevine could be a "meet in the middle" area?
  6. Dude! You and Samantha are having a baby!!! Man, no one tells us anything anymore. LOL Boy or girl? When is it due? Nick and his wife are due around the same time too. Awesome!
  7. This sounds like fun! Count me and hubby in. I think I can convince him to go all wilderness for one night lol
  8. I don't know about anyone else but there are great things to be had by social networking or any networking for that matter. I played in this last GMG.com bowl game and met someone that works for a company that we do business with. It was pretty cool. I've helped out a few people on this site because I work in the hospitality undustry, specifically during NOLA appearances, in getting them better rates and room upgrades in New Orleans. You never know what can come from gatherings like these.
  9. In all seriousness I would be totally interested in a bi-monthly meet up. I do loyalty marketing for Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants.
  10. Awwwww!!! If I didn't already have a zoo...two kids, two cats, three dogs....I would totally take one. Kudos to you for getting them to Operation Kindness. Great organization. I give money to them every year.
  11. I went to Southwest but a little later than you. I was there my freshman and sophomore year (94-96) and then moved to Colorado but came back two years later.
  12. I grew up there too and my husband and I went to the game rooting for UNT and thinking the same exact thing. It was tough because we were there with the rest of my family which are either TCU alums or fans or employees. They still talk smack about that game. I'm willing to bet that the split will be about 50/50. Maybe even more frogs than smuts. Every home game for TCU is either sold out or just about sold out with the exception of the game they played against....Ten. Tech (I think). I was going to go to the game last weekend but couldn't find a darn ticket. Not even after they released 2,000 SRO tickets. I'm rooting for the Frogs. I always do unless they are playing against us.
  13. Is there a chance that he would be denied the redshirt?
  14. "Lance Dunbar finished with 42 rushing yards after clearing the 100-yard mark in each of the Mean Green’s first two games — not that he had much of a chance on a day he carried the ball just 12 times." Why would you only get the ball to him 12 times? They have GOT to give him the ball more this next game.
  15. *facepalm* Really? Could we please get some more injuries? (sarcasm) So what happens if we put Riley in and Riley gets hurt?
  16. If I didn't have to watch my kids tomorrow I would totally be there with my Pourhouse GMG tshirt! You can't beat free beer.
  17. UNT 26 (one missed extra point unfortunately) Rice a Roni 24 It's going to be one of those where I watch the last two minutes peeking through my fingers as my hands cover my eyes and I have a knot in my stomach.
  18. And mosquito repellent. I don't know about y'all but mosquitoes love me after a big week of rain...if they sucked fat instead of blood I wouldn't mind as much.
  19. I just click the time lapse button, it's awesome to watch how much has happened over the past several months.
  20. I'm with Army of Dad, it makes it way easier for those of us who have kids that play sports on Saturday mornings or early afternoons. My oldest daughter has a soccer game at 11:30 tomorrow and thankfully this gives us plenty of time to make it to Denton and set up our tailgate and chill before the game.
  21. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/college/rice/7192488.html Good read, and sad.
