  1. We got there around 5:40 or 5:45 and couldn't get into the left hand side of the lot. They made us go right. I ended up talking to one of the parking lot people who were willing to let us drive around the backside of the stadium so we could get to the other side but at that point I was beat from the drive and the kids didn't want to get back into the car so we tailgated where we parked. Some student pulled up next to us and parked and asked "Is there a basketball game today?" Sad....
  2. Headed to the Pit for some tailgatin' and fun!

  3. Thanks for the info! I just told my husband. We were going to a lot of games earlier this season because a friend of a friend worked in the front office and was getting us great seats to all of the games. Then he up and quit. Damn him for following his dream of starting his own business. LOL That sounds like fun. I assume kids are allowed? There is a burger place right there by Pizza Hut Park that has good food and the beer is cheap. Drawing a blank on the name right now.
  4. Yeah, that would be great. I went back to check just because I was curious and it still is giving seats in section 102 but they are the higher rows. I'm crossing fingers for a large walk up sales number.
  5. That's interesting. I bought my tickets on ticketmaster on 11/11 and they say section 102 Row F. Seats 1-4.
  6. We will be there around the same time. We will look for you if you get there first.
  7. Were you at the Okie State game a few years ago? It's an easier trip for them and the UNT fans outnumbered the OSU fans. I'm not sure how many will turn out. I was able to get the family 4 pack last Wednesday and the seats are in baseline reserve. That has me a little worried. Regardless UNT fans will outnumber Tech fans.
  8. We will hopefully get there early enough to park up close to the front of the lot, kinda where you were a couple of years ago for the OSU game. I'll be in a red Jeep Commander. I'll make sure and block off the spot next to us. We will be bringing Bud Light. If anyone wants to bring other stuff to throw on the grill feel free. I will be happy to cook it.
  9. I know it's probably hard for some because it's a weeknight game. I'm lucky enough to work from home and my other half is off tomorrow so we (us and the kiddos) will be getting there between 4:30 and 5. We are bringing the grill and will probably be doing something easy like brats and dogs. Everyone is welcome to stop by and grab a bite or an adult beverage. We will have kid friendly beverages too.
  10. TCU pulled off a win but barely. It was a strange game period, on both sides of the ball.
  11. So basically they paid (probably "good money") to have their floor look like it's a middleschool or highschool floor that hasn't been touched since the early 70's. That's just funny.
  12. We are so bummed. My husband had major oral surgery yesterday morning and not only does he have to stay home but I have to stay home to take care of him. I wanted to take our girls to this game. It breaks my heart. So many memories. Some of which I don't remember. LOL
  13. What was up with Lincecum NOT throwing the pitch to third to get Michael Young out?!? Talk about little league mistake. My husband and I just sat their in disbelief and then laughed.
  14. LMAO that pretty much says it all right there. I'm so ecstatic that I get to talk crap to ALL of my coworkers. I work for Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants and am technically a "home office" (in San Francisco) employee. I just happen to be allowed to work out of my house here in N. Texas. I started the smack talk the first week of October when I was there last and since then it's changed to heckling email and phone calls to my team up there. I think we win it in 6.
  15. That's greatness! lol Same thing with my cousin. She went to both TB games here and after the second one the whole family pretty much told her she better not get anywhere near the next home game or she would be cast out of the family. She was always a black sheep...
  16. Awwww Happy Belated Birthday Emmitt!!!! Mine is just around the corner (yikes!) in less than two weeks.
  17. First game I attended was in 83 and I haven't stopped going since. Been through it all with the team from bad to worse to mediocre and back to bad. LOL I am utterly jealous Quoner that you got to be there for that. My husband and I are trying to score some tix for one of the WS games. Once in a lifetime. I think I owe it to myself afer watching them for 27 years.
  18. I'm jealous. Hubby and his friend (another UNT alum) will be going to watch the game probably at Fox & Hound N. Dallas as I agreed to stay at home and watch it because we don't have anyone to watch the kiddos.
  19. Ditto all of that. What worries me is that the last game some of the Yankees bats finally started to have some life in them. The hard hitters. I'm hoping it was just a fluke and that they are back to doing nothing this game. If we go to game 7 I will be watching the whole thing with my hands over my eyes peeking through my fingers. LOL
  20. I always forget about this forum. I'm a huge Rangers fan and have been since my daddy started taking me to games when I was around 3 years old. Been with them through thick and thin which is saying a lot. I'm on pins and needles about tonight's game just for the simple fact that since the playoffs started they seem to do a lot better away from home. The Rangers are 1-3 at home while the Yankees are 3-1 on the road. Is there a tiny baby baseball Jesus? If so, I'm going to start praying right now.
