But no one ever says what I say is wrong. Just bitter responses. Js
Why you're wrong or why you're always acting like an ass? Look it's one thing to come on and voice displeasure but complaining about every single thing makes you sound pathetic. Go have your love fest with Texas State and SMU if it makes you happy. But I think we all realize you just like being a jerk on here.

0 surprise their stud back is staying put and ours (several) is leaving.
New year, same sad attitude. Dude, go away!

Anything to keep the narrative on it's all about me. Looks like some of these players are a little jealous that players transferring are getting attention and they are not.

Sorry but based on the title what did this have to do with a transfer message? He's not transferring.

Uhh... except their starting quarterback did not play. I know your deep obsession of smu runs deep, but that's a reach comment.
Never misses an opportunity to take a shot at North Texas but wants to make sure he can step in and put up a defense for SMU. Sometimes the smallest Post tells you more about someone's true intentions than everything they seem to spout.

We just hate to see former North Texas players succeed elsewhere.
Disagree. I think many on here love to see former players do well so they can bash North Texas for not keeping them.

And yet, we act like we are somehow too good to play them.
Based on their location, growth potential, and willingness to invest, I have said they would be a good addition to the American.

Not to take anything away but this is the first bowl game in their history so you would expect they would travel well.

WSU basically in the MWC? Do they get to compete for a championship? We should be able to compete against these guys.
Since there is still a Pac12, I guess technically the winner of the Washington State Oregon State game is the conference champion??

When is the actual deadline for the winter portal?
Also, if there is a HC change (like NMSU)
the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) offers a 30-day window for players to enter the transfer portal after a coaching change.- 2

I'm sure they would take him back. However, I'm sure it will be hard for the locker room to take him back.
In this day and age of "it's all business" you would probably have many in the locker room take him back hoping they can help put them in a situation to be able to move on and hopefully get a Payday

Could a team have 85 scholarship players, and continue signing players by paying them in NIL money rather than scholarship money ?
BYU has a collective that is paying for the scholarships for all Walk-Ons that make the team. So basically that is adding additional scholarship players over the 85

I tend to ignore the class ranking since class size influences it. We are signing a big class, so lots of points. We only had 14 last year, so fewer points.
I prefer to look at average rating of the recruits. At 84.14, we are around 8th in the conference. Hardly overwhelming.
For comparison, last year was 84.17.The bottom four guys on the list had no other FBS offers.
With three star players you just have to wait to see how they turn out. With different people from different regions ranking the players they can be very subjective. In many cases you can have multiple players given their ranking within a matter of hours, so again very subjective.

My first inclination would be to focus on Texas raised athletes. Anyways, it’s all moot since he’s deciding to commit with Marshall
Maybe we were too close to home?

Hope he stays. Seems to have moved around quite a bit.
Hopefully, reuniting with Coach Gilbert will help him stay focused.

Even if you take out family money, he got $3.2 million in NIL $’s this year as backup QB at Texas.
Just wondering where you got that.

Mike Craven said as much a few weeks ago. The recruiting sites pay attention to the 4/5’s and not so much to the 3’s. He pretty much said, “It’s a crapshoot with the 3’s”. I feel good about our coaches abilities to evaluate talent regardless of stars.
I believe Gabe Brooks is the gentleman who does the rating in our region (I am not sure how far his region covers).

You always have to wonder if the way he left North Texas is the reason he is not been a head coach since. It most likely put up a red flag to many athletic directors.
