Possibly, pending a late announcement, but I still have to put the defensive efforts in the "D" range. As I mentioned elsewhere, hopefully, we will focus on the defensive side in the following portal window.
PS - I'm not going to lie; this lack of focus on adding defensive players is strange, to say the least. I find it hard that Capaoni wanted to add as little as we did. Again, confusing.

Does the person who put the confused vote understand that these are also professional teams? I'm not sure how they could be confused.

That's all we need, though. Keep the offense where it was at while we figure out the disaster that was the other side of the ball.
That was an issue last season. Even when our defense was struggling Moriss was still running plays as fast as possible. I understand that is what we would like to do but as a head coach he needs to realize when his defensive struggling that slowing down the ball on the offense can help support them.

TCU went with Seals because Morris left.
Remember, this is GMG.com - There will be those who always want to believe the ones we have are not quite good enough, and the ones that got away would have been the difference makers.

I'm guessing we didn't land the transfer quarterback from Liberty?

It's pretty mind blowing how 75% of the transfers are on offense and the D transfers are mostly safeties. It's like Caponi thinks the main issue last year was safety play not the front 6. You would expect a massive overhaul, because we don't return enough players on that side to hang our hat on continuity. I have gone so far beyond giving him the benefit of the doubt, but he needs to go.
His evaluations are off, his game plans are bad, his lack of urgency is dumbfounding. Paying him all that money for the worst defense then watching him do the same the year after in asinine. I'm glad Morris is a better playcaller than Littrell, that's great, but he is just Littrell 2.0, and we don't have annual games with a (bad) Rice, UTEP, FIU & MTSU to rack up the wins with anymore. I'm trying to find the positives here long term with Morris and I don't see it.
Have we considered that Caponi is not the reason we are not signing more defensive players? Morris is the one who directs the recruiting. If he wanted more defensive help we would be getting it. He seems to have tunnel focus on the offensive side of the ball.

I think we still have room. I’ve heard 5-10 more spots.
I hope they do a full-court press on adding more players on the defensive side of the ball in the Spring Portal window.

Can one of you recruiting guys give me the low down on Chandler’s game? Is he more of a pocket passer or more similar to Rodgers being able to use his legs? How quick is his release? What type of offense is he best suited to?
I know I'm beating the proverbial dead horse, but we have seen with Austin's last season and Rogers last season, you can put up great offensive numbers but if you don't play defense you're not going to be in the running for championships.

It is interesting to me how well Coach Morris and his team did in the TP on the offensive side of the ball without a named QB
Very happy with the efforts on the offensive. Sadly, it highlights the seemingly background status Morris seems to place on defense.

Unless something breaks today or tomorrow I think most would agree that the overall Talent brought in on defense has been very disappointing through the portal. Hopefully Morris ( and I personally have my doubts as to his commitment is to having a top half of the league defense) and his staff can make the second spring portal a priority to bring in some defensive players. If not, I would not be surprised next season to see us have great offensive stats but still struggle to win more than six. Despite the potential offensive power we could easily start 1-3.

The qualifier in () is maddening.
This kind of mindset is why NT fans should never expect anything more. A 9-win season every once in a while, sandwiched between a bunch of 5 or 6-win seasons (or worse!).
Forgive some of us if we’re only “somewhat satisfied” instead of “very impressed”. “Very impressed” would be for Cam Ward to come to Denton instead of Miami.
Morris lost his job on a struggling team to a true Freshman. We’d better hope Cash McCollum is the real deal.
I know you're a great Mean Green fan, but really hope that someday you're able to get rid of your hate for anything Coach Morrison seems to do.

Not sure we have too many spots available until after the spring portal window. I could see another 8-10 spots opening just based on my perusal of the roster but that is 100% me guessing based on guys that left/were encouraged to leave and where those guys ended up is telling. Look at our transfers out besides the big ones, where did most of our guys go? They didn't even go lateral most went down a level. I don't have all of them in front of me but I think I am pretty close in that guesstimation.
My guess is 5-7 in the spring portal. The reality is they will find/make enough room available for any players they are confident they can add. In the portal age it seems more schools are willing to encourage players to leave if they need the spots.

An excellent indication that a player might be committing to North Texas is if they bring their luggage with them right here before registration and school starts.

I wouldn’t go as low as an F, but it wasn’t a super ideal class imo. They did a real solid job in beefing up the secondary, especially with the transfer portal, so I commend them with that. The lack of DL help coming in is concerning though
I’d say a solid C, maybe C-
Looking at the secondary I will revise to a D

IMO, very poor. When you fielded the worst defense in FBS there should have been a lot more emphasis. My way to early grade: D

How would you rate the Defensive recruiting?

I would/will feel better if we get some size up front. If we can't slow them down before they pass the line, it will be another long year.
