Honest question - Can he coach or is he a CEO who will let his coordinator coach? I have often wondered why some school has not tried the route of hiring a great name/recruits as the HC and then let his coordinators and coaches handel the X's and O's

With the financial impact of Covid and the budget issues, sadly, a lot of players around the country will probably be "encouraged" to move on at many schools. Question - If a school has a lot of players stay next year how does this count when it comes to Title 9?

Blame is completely on the AD. I had forgot how their "super star" QB acted at the time - he did his version of the elementary school "I will take my ball and go home" tantrum. My point was exactly that the AD needs to make the hires based on the good of the program - not to keep a star player happy.

If you have ESPN+ and have not watched it I would highly recommend Peyton' Places hosted by Peyton Manning. Different look at football history. Some very nice interviews. Current episode features Lynn Swann. Good examples of how offensive players are protected now compared to what s was like then. Also amazing to see the catches he made without gloves. Makes you appreciate the numbers some of the "pre-modern"era players put up without gloves and being pushed around by DBs.
