  1. And NT just lost their recruiter for La and Mississippi Understand Gandy is gone.
  2. It is my understanding that the visits were to be rescheduled from last weekend to the week of Dec 11th...I posted known visits earlier check the forums. OldTimer
  3. My wife and I can verify this. We went to New Mexico birding and avoided going through El Paso on I 10 by going higher up..on another highway.
  4. He also plays Nose Tackle, throws the shot put in track,
  5. If I remember correctly NT recruited him out of HS.
  6. As far as I can find the following prospects will do an official visit Dec 11th. If anyone knows someone not on this list please add or if I am wrong please post a correction. JC DT Tony Gillespie Coffeyville CC 6-1, 310 JC DT Ronnel Wright Butt CC 6-3, 275, 4.9 JC TE Nate Ingram, Pierce CC 6-3, 260, 4.6 JC QB Brent Osborn, N WMiss CC 6-4,210, 4.74 JC QB Clint Granger, Pierce CC 6-3-230, 4.75 HS QB Cooper Jones, Lone Oak HS, 6-4, 181, 4.8 Cooper Jones and WR Kevin Robertson, Houston Northland Christian HS 6-4, 208, 4.56 have visited NT earlier Please note that most of these visits were scheduled for today Dec 4th and NT is trying to swith them to the Jan 11th slot when our new HC will be there. There is at least one conflict with a prospect scheduled to visit TT on the 11th...that hopefully will be handled OK>
  7. Wins Henderson State Losses: 1 Texas Tech Kansas Rice TX State UT Arlington Grambling State
  8. ******************************* I watched two games..including the KState game and in each game Riley threw some very long passes that right on target. Might need to adjust our evaluation on his passing ability.
  9. *************************************************************************** When I was VP at El Paso CC about 10 years ago, they added a baseball program...spent $350,000 in one year not counting coaches salary.
  10. I have never met or talked with our "President", RV, our "headhunter) or the interium (sp?) coach. I just want to go on record against hiring as NT's head coach if it is Mccreary. We are hiring a coach with a losing record, who has been a wife abuser. I think our interim coach has been shafted. IMHO he did an excellant job taking over for a "fired" head coach in mid season, took a team with 12 or more injured players and had a 2 win, 2 lost record. I have never seen a team score 35 or 37 points and lose a game...Our defense has done their best but cost us wins, not our offense. I wound up paying $80 for two tickets (siting in section A next to end zone section) that at an earlier game cost $20 and had much better location. I spent about $100 for the night. Folks I am sorry, but this is my last game after 46 years of following NT FB when I could. To me, in my current age (74) and retired financial position it is just not worth $100 to see NT play. I will continue to work on recruiting info and following NT FB on gmg.com.
  11. Haven't seen this posted...score NT wins over Texas State, 81 to 77 That makes us with 4 wins so far against Rice, Texas Tech, Henderson State and Texas State 4 wins against 1 lost to Kansas or Kansas State at their stadium.
  12. Riley was injured and carried off the field on a guerney (?) Score was NT 41, KState 49 and thats how the game ended. I paid $80 for two reserved seat tickets..in sat in the last section A next to end zone tickets. Could have paid purchased general admission for substantially less (my grandson is a student and it wouldn't have cost me a ticket for him) and sat on the 50 yd line. NT scored 41 points and still lost...I hope Our interim coach is retained as Offensive coordinator. Its' the defense that has cost the last two games and whomever we bring in one who is heavily defense minded and a recruiting guro
  13. Quotes from the FW *Telegram "SMU finally caught up to TCU's act in BB while the gap has fractinally narrowed between the two in recent years the space between the mens BB teams is widening. Just to be clear this does not say very much NORTH TEXAS REMAINS THE BEST TEAM IN THIS REGION.
  14. http://eagletalk.net/ Link to another web site ....great article on NT/MiddleTenn game. Also a lot of good articles if you are not aware of this site.
  15. I don't believe NT will be able to sign any prospect until our head coach/and related position coaches are filled. In spite of that I believe our current coaches are maintaning contact with those prospects we have offered. I have seen info that The 4 NT commited players are still committed. In spite of the above I show 42 known UNT offers that are still outstanding. Of these prospects 12 of them are 3* players and 1 a 4 * prospect. It has been reported that NT had 100 prospects at the NT/Troy game which indicates players are still interested in NT. I show 4 offerred QB's still open at this time. It is my understanding that at least 2 QB a attended the NT/Troy game. One of them doesn't show an offer by NT but he attended the NT/Troy game and is quoted even after loss he was still impressed with NT. This player from OK completed 54.3 percent of his passes from over 1,900 yds and 19 TD's, He has rushed for nearly 300 yards and 10 scores. A 3* player 6-4, 195. The other was reported NT's top target from 2A Lone Oak at 6-4, 181.

  17. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Interesting thoughts on this article...It seems that Brayle Brown did not show any interest in NT per.Rivals and Scout.com which do not show any interest nor offers by UNT . I guess I could take any QB that has or commits in the future to another school and doesn't show an interest in NT losing a QB battle. This makes me wonder the motive of the article. I do show 5 QB that have an NT offer each still listing offers by UNT.

  19. My favorit reminder is a picture of him holding his necktie up like it was chocking him on a call by a referee.
  20. ************************************************** I believe you are referring to Terran Petteway, small forward from Galveston Ball HS 6-6, 3*...BAD he has commited to Texas Tech I would like NT to sign Center Adam Choplick Denton Ryan HS shown as 6-6, but I have seen posts that he is closer to 6-8. He visited NT FB game 10-2...selected to TX Assoc of Basketball All Star game, named all state,
  21. 1. Power Forward (3*) Forrest Robinson Chose NT over offers from Ark, Centenary, UH, Iowa St, LaTech, OkSt, SMU, TT, USC, Utah, Virginia.. COMMITTED TO NT OVER OFFERS LISTED OVER OFFERS LISTED INCLUDING SMU 2.Point Guard Chris Jones over offers from Ark Little Rock, Army, Colorado, Hartford, UH, Indiana ST, Missouri St, New Mexico, TCU, UT Arlington..COMMITTED TO NT OVER OFFERS LISTED INCLUDING SMU 3. Point Guard Trey Norris over offers from Mcnease sT, Minnesota, Northern AZ, Santa Clara, S. Dakota, SMU..COMMITTED TO NT OVER OFFERS LISTED INCLUDING SMU 4. And I like Small Forward 3* Jordan Williams WHO chose NT over offers from AZ St, Ark, Baylor, Fresno St, Georgia, UH, KsSt, Marquette, Miss ST, OK St, Oregon, So. Miss TT even though he doesn't show a SMU offer Edit: I don't like SMU and what it stands for because I believe they kept NT out of CUSA.....It is a high mark to me that we actually beat SMU for the above id'd committed players. The quality of offers these commitments received and the fact that they still chose NT...to me this is is a major upgrade in NT's recruiting. ............................ NT HAS COMMITTMENTS FROM 3 SCHOOLS LISTED ABOVE OVER SMU OFFERS. I LIKE IT, I LIKE IT.
  22. He certaintlly has the defensive line experience and name....if not head coach...or Defensive coordiantor
  23. For what its worth I believe NT should keep Dodge....he inherited a whale of a bad situation coming to NT...I have seen significant improvement especially this year....hurt by 14 injuries mainly to offensive players...our players have played their heart out and haven't given up...and don't believe any coach would do better with this team missing the same 14 injured players. Please don't compare Dodge with Dickey who constantly complained about everything UNT to the public and media ....Dodge has been a complete different type of coach: supporter of NT in the same facilities and the FB program. that he inherited and worked under.
