Many of you understand that I keep my own records on NT FB recruiting. I currently have 101 players that have UNT offer that are still in progress less 7 that committed to other colleges leaving 94 still open...note the 7 NT comments are not part of the 101 count leaving 94 still open. I did not include players with offers who had already committed to other school before I knew of their NT offer. I mentioned earlier that of the 94 28 are 3* and 2 are 4*.

This is the first of several articles on NT FB recruiting starting with the 7 known 2012 commitments: Three quality commitments from Tyler Chapell Hill football. Folks this is a quality 3A program and the following are 3 quality players that have committed to UNT. 1. RB and CB Rex Rollins 6-1, 185, 4.5 2. DT Sir Calvin Wallace, 6-2, 300, needed bulk in the DL 3. RB/LB Andrew Tucker, 6-0, 185, 4.6, softs verbal, All East Texas, 3A All State *I know I left off 3 commits..RB Rodrick Lancaster, Jerrian Robertss and Malik Dilongs. they will be added tomorrow morning. ***************************** Safety Devante Davis, Woodlawn HS, BAton Rudge La HS, 5-11, 185, 4.5 All District Jr. year year, Top sleeper player in state, the only way we got him is he had taken academic tests and had not yet received grade...he did quality. UNT had two late FB commitments that carried over from 2011 that are quality players: 1. Mid term transfer from Arkansas (4*) will have to sit out a year but will ultimatly fill a much needed bulk in our OL or DL Cam Feldt, 6-4, 295, 5.3 and 2. A late signing on a OLB from Mansfield Legacy HS 6-2, 195, 4.5 a quality player who held offers from some high quality schools.(Kendal Washington) had several major schools offer him. **************************************************************** Current 2012 commitments: Three quality prospects from Tyler Chapell HS: 1. Considered a top sleeper in the State of La. 5. WR Rodrick Lancaster Life School Oak Cliff, DE/MLB Jerrian Roberts from Clarksville, TX HS 6-2, 230 (will play midle LB or DE) WDE Malik Dilonga Cedar Hill Trinity Christian 6-3, 235, 4.95... The FW*Telegram has a one page listing of FB recruiting page No players listing NT as considing on their top National 100, nor on the top area 50 players, it does list 2 prospects in the state top 100 LB Damien Neroes from Garland, lists NT and SMU and LB Lincoln Richard everman list AZ Ark, UH, NT, SMU, UTEP

Chad is showing 3 offers, Colorado, SMU and UNT, TCU is no longer an offer on the site I visited today.

Majored in accounting which was held in high regard by major CPA firms at that time. That education gave me the ability to pass my CPA exams and led to a great accounting position with Tennessee Gas in Houston. The accounting major was the big reason I went to NT...The NT band played a part in this decision as I played in the marching band and ROTC band. I don't remember any hippy dress between 1954 and 1957. I met my future wife while contacting an accounting lab..and we were married in Sept 1956 over 55 years ago. I am happy to say one of my grandsons is currently attending UNT at this time. OldTimer

Interesting that Phil Steele's magazine predicts a 5 wins -3 losses in conference.

This magazine states in the last game of the 09 season against ASU the 1st two QB were out due to injury the 3rd string QB was left in Denton out with mono so he had no choice but to take the RS off the true frosh Derek Thompson.

He picks NT with the potential to be 5 wins 3 loses and could easilly finish in the uper half of the Sun belt.new modern turn should cut down on injuries. 2 players on his 1st team all sun belt team Dunbar and Zach Olen kicker. 4 on 2nd team.

Every one has already seen the current commitment from: 2012 and other ships 1. Rex Rollins, RB Chapel Hill HS (Hopefully we will get his teammate DT Sir Calvin Wallace 6-3, 295 2. Remember WR Marcus Smith, San Antonio Warren...grayshirted this fall...reported a 2012 ship at mid term? 3. WR Garrett Etheridge Florida HS recruit....shown as preferred walkon...enrolled at NT mid term ship ? this one is a stretch...2011 or 2012? 4. OT Cam Feldt...Pilot Point...mid season transfer from University of Arkansas..I would assume a 2011 ship? NT is also after ( reported offer) his younger brother Broone OT 6-3, 276 2012 hopefully we will get him along with his brother.

A great find....as far as I can tell Rivals and Scout.com don't show him with an offer....but the Columbus NFTCCamp lists him on their all camp team and shows him with an NT offer.

I keep a personal listing of players NT has made offers to. If a player has been offered and committed to other schools before we learn about an offer they are not on my personal listing. I know of only 1 that I haven't listed because they had already committed. As of today 5-16 I show NT has still made offers to 31 players 4 of which have committed to other schools which leaves 27 offers still open. S Amoko and his brother CB have both committed to Oregon...Both were rated as 3*, WDE Devonte Fields committed to TCU rated 4*, .wde CB Terrell Burt to Baylor non rated. Of the 27 players still open I show 2 are ranked 4* players..OT Goines and WDE McCord. Of the 27 players still open I show 7 are rated 3*. To me this shows that NT is making offers to quality players.

2011 is Dunbar's Sr year. Dennis Smith is a 2012 signee...no conflict here.

****************************************** He is still committed to A&M but A&M is recruiting a 5 * RB and if this 5* RB commits to A&M Smith is likely to de-commit.(also another reason but can't comment on it at this time). ...NT, Iowa State and TX are reported to have made offers to Smith. RB Trey Williams a 5 * has committed to a 2012 ship to Texas A&M. It will be interesting to see what happens now.

RB Dennis Smith, Wimberley HS 6-1, 212, one of the top 2012 prospects not only in Texas but US, does not show on profile listing pages, but with offers by NT, Iowa State and TX State.

Franklin has signed a LOI which occurred after the fall signing period. He is listed by Rivals as a 4* and Mitchell is listed as a 5* recruit...those two should give NT even a higher recruiting ranking

I thought he has enrolled at NT and is taking some courses that will make him elgible by next fall.
