  1. He didn't change the story, he just changed how it was told. Granted, thats a little odd to do that, but regardless he believed in Jesus, and so did the other signers, although I am sure you have explanations for each of them on how they were not "devout Christians." The country made a huge mistake with slavery, and made a lot of other huge mistakes, but I fail to see how you, or anyone else can say that this was not a Christian nation, one nation Under God, and yes, I know that was not added until Eisenhower's presidency, but that shows how long those principles carried on. They stayed until they took prayer out of schools, and the ten commandments from our courthouses (see Alabama Supreme Court). Whether we are or are not now, you can't say that we weren't.
  2. It does though in the Declaration of Independence, the document that started this nation, and as much as I disagree with most of what EE said, it is really hard to say that this country was not founded on Christian principles. You might not have meant it that way, but still...
  3. Forrest didn't get it as bad as Papa Smurf did...he came out in a baby blue suit, and took it off at halftime. I asked their trainer about it at the beginning of the second half and he said we hurt his feelings...haha.
  4. There was a signigicant roll to it, but from the back of his own endzone he boomed it, and it ended up on their 1. At least that is what I remember of it, I couldnt have been more that 7 or 8. Does anyone remember what year that happened?
  5. Have we talked to smu about sponsoring our stadium...they already advertise in our paper.
  6. I am going to take a sip of the kool-aid and say "not necessarily." If he becomes successful enough at UNT, by that time the reasons for him to leave might be few and far between.
  7. That was my fault, I told him College Park. Sorry dad.
  8. I love how you put Baylor in there. Well played sir, whether you meant to do it or not.
  9. Thats Awesome!! Shawn Forest is just who I wanted to replace Tic Price....haha. June Jones vs. Todd Dodge will be an entertaining game to watch. And we get another flyover when we play Army. Go Mean Green!
  10. Nope, I looked all through worldstadiums.com, but still can't find it....now that I'm looking at it, it kind of doesn't look real, nevertheless I like it. I could go for that for the new stadium.
  11. If they lowered the field, took out the track, and built seats down to it, that would be an awesome stadium. Its pretty good already, just a little disproportional.
  12. You are Right. The Hall Associations and RHA in general will push for a YES vote this time. I was part of it last year and will be again this year, and the atmosphere is pleasantly pro-athletic. Greek Life will be on board too. I honestly think it would pass, maybe 55% to 45%...
  13. ...Or that it will host music festivals, that might not even be a lie!
  14. If we can get Bruce Hall to think they are voting to reform marijuana laws, then we might have a shot...
  15. North Texas already has the funding for the business building. It is going to be a "green" building, built where Kendall and Highland Halls are now. When I got this information back in February, I was told those building would come down late this summer...Regardless, this new loan should have nothing to do with the business building from what I have been told.
  16. I bet you a trillion dollars the United States pays for most all of it.
  17. Yes, GPA doesn't mean you are "smart", but if you are getting a full ride, I think you should be able to do better than a 3.0 at least.
  18. My Junior year in high school a girl transferred to my school from Hockaday, and said it was around 25,000 a year. If that is the right number, that should certainly buy a heck of an education.
  19. Would not complain...except for travel costs...but we could afford it then.
