Florida will be a power for as long as Donovan is there now. Think about it...he turned down Kentucky AND the NBA in about a 6 week time period to stay there. He was a FANTASTIC recruiter before. Now he can sell repeat champions...quartet of lotto picks(plus other pros in the past) AND "I just passed on the chance for 25M to coach the best players in the world...to coach you...come to Gainsville son".

You really expect the BE to to kick out Georgetown & Villanova? CHARTER MEMBERS. Not gonna happen.

Not for the Big East. Other conferences try to balance the two pretty equally.

Impossible to tell on anyone before they play. Who woulda thought Calvin Watson would've turned into the player he did? And we've had plenty of busts on the other side.

Our own Heath Smith is going to the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Sacramento for the Javelin. Brandi Stanfield(Triple Jump) might join him depending on the marks in the other regionals. GMG!

It's not as pronounced, no. But the last time a school not from the BCS 6 won a National Title was UNLV in 1990.

He'll probably just be the guy we throw out to foul people when Q and Wooden need some rest. As pathetic as that may sound, alot of other schools have guys that fill that capacity too. He was playing a bit better at the end of the season last year(IMHO), so maybe he could be a decent glue guy - dive for loose balls/take charges/get a key rebound when he's in etc. Those can be pivotal players to a squad, but he'd never be much more than one of those lunch pail types.

The future definitely looks bright. I can't wait to see how these kids play next year.
