I think it's too early to tell really. It was pointed out that last years team lost 8 conference games, which is true. However, we had so many games last year that coulda gone either way - I really think those close wins AND losses enabled us to win in March. This team has more pieces than last year, but the jury is still out.

Well, maybe after redshirting and practicing for acouple of years he may be a contributor eventually. Doesn't sound promising though.

That's not entirely true. The last 2 seasons we've played one school from the East twice and 1 from the west just the one time. Last season we played WKU twice and ULM once. I really don't know why it works out that way. I'd assume it has something to do with the 2 divisions not being equally balanced.

Denver leads UALR at the half. If the Pioneers win ULL shoots into 1st place with us being only 1/2 a game back.

Didn't Howerton lead the team in boards vs A&M International? I coulda sworn that was the case.

You know what I meant. But back in the day there were only a handful of Pro basketball teams that did it(I really remember Chicago of course). Pretty soon it was all of the NBA and the NHL. Only a few college arenas do that I know of - off the top of my head UNLV and Rupp arena(sometimes) come to mind. Sorry...I'll let the thread get back on topic.

I used to like when teams turned out the lights during the intros in the early 90's when it was the new thing. But honestly, I think it's kind of overdone now that EVERYONE does it.

True, though I also like the end of game variety - sort of like how Kansas does Rock Chalk.
