  1. I'm excited about the O-Line returning almost intact and despite the other guys, it's hard for me to imagine Feeley giving this spot up. It's his to lose.
  2. I'm sure Charr really enjoyed some of his guys doing this. I'll bet he has a few extra excercises for these 4 to do this week.
  3. Hey, do you guys think el Niñas can get us into the WAC?
  4. I'll be praying for the McKinney family.
  5. Do you like the phrase "I'm not saying... I'm just saying"?
  6. At the risk of getting blown up by all the UT bashers: UT's all whites.
  7. OK. For Serious: Our Lady Peace - Starseed Could probably cut the acoustic intro.
  8. 25,000 paying spectators? If so, I don't think we're close to that. Keep in mind, the students don't produce much in revenue (concessions/gear only).
  9. Not familiar with this song. Can you please stay on topic?
  10. I don't know about y'all, but Lets Get It On by Marvin Gaye gets my blood pumping! I don't think there's a better song out there to jack up any player. Just imagine all of the UNT players busting out of that inflatable helmet with this song blasting in the background. "Here they come! THE MEEEEEEAAN GREEEEEEEN!!" (repeat eagle caw/screech noise) Wow, what an atmosphere that would create! I know I'd be ready for some hard-hitting action.
  11. Yeah! I think The GoMeanGreen.com Tailgating Area brought to you by The Pourhouse, would be a great place to meet and greet before games. I'd stop by!
  12. Thank YOU Harry for the vision to put this meeting place together for us! If it weren't for you, we would all be on the ponyfans board for news, or spiffy new UT message boards.
  13. I can't handle stout beers. I like to drink my beers, not chew on them. To each his own though... that's what's so great about beer!
  14. I've always felt that if you come off, you should be done. Don't allow for the stretcher to come get you off the pitch, then spray some air on your ankle and come back on the pitch. To go with this, I think the ref should only allow for 20 seconds maximum to attempt to get up. If you cannot continue, you can be carted off, and have a sub come on for you. I think that would cut down on alot of the fake injuries. I expected the Germans to win today, but not to crush England like they did...
  15. Fat Tire or Shiner Bock will work just fine for me.
  16. I understand that your comment is pointing out that the stadium will be too small. However, I see this as a positive. If UNT can generate enough buzz (via winning) that the new stadium sells out constantly, then RV and the rest of the AD staff will be in a position to begin charging more, or dare I say...charging students to come to the games. That would generate more revenue and get us started on expanding the stadium! UT/A&M charge $100's for "all sports" passes. If UNT can build enough excitement around campus, I don't think students would scoff at paying $50 - $100 for an "all sports" pass. Maybe I'm off though. What do those of you who are students think? If the product on the field were good enough to consistently sell out a 30K seat stadium, would you pay $100 for an "all sports" pass (you're basically paying for football and getting all other sports for free)?
  17. I refuse to believe this. What do I do with my degree from a now defunct university? If only we would have moved to the WAC when we had the chance. Down the corridor of years... I cant finish.
  18. Once again, if we want to be grouped in with the big boys, we have to have the same mentality. IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO MONEY! If moving to the WAC brings in more PROFIT than staying in the SBC, then you have to highly consider moving to that conference. This has to be considered at it's current state as well as future state. If staying in the Belt brings in more money than moving to the WAC, we should stay right where we are. I assume that weighing these pro's & con's is what this consultant we brought on is going to do.
  19. There is too much rule breaking going on in this thread. Please, can you people make your points with a simple "Yes" or "No"? I don't think it was too much of Lifer to ask...
  20. I think off the field, you're right. On the field, we don't need to keep doing what we're doing... we need a 180o turnaround. Once we begin winning consistently (as we did in the early 2000's) then the rest of the great things we're doing, or committed to doing, in the athletic dept. will augment the product on the field/court and UNT will begin getting more attention both locally & nationally. You can't have one without the other and expect great things. Good football and no committment to bettering the facilities has already been done, and it failed. Adding great facilities has already begun, but the football product is not where it needs to be. If the guys can get it to click this year, there should be lots of excitement for next year and beyond. We need University leadership that is committed to winning (AD), great facilities, and winners. I believe we have 21/2 of these. Once we have all 3, our SEC invitation is only a few years away!
  21. Even though the poll option is now working, I like the way the old-school polls have gone lately. Answer "YES" or "NO" to the following 2 questions about Manute Bol: 1. Was Manute Bol one of the top 10 shot blockers you've ever seen in a Washington Bullets uniform? 2. Would ya?
  22. It's a simple question doctor. If the moon were made of spare ribs, would you eat it? Just say yes and we'll move on.
  23. Just listen to their fight songs (UT & A&M). All they do is diss each other. Like CMJ said, right now the rivalry between UT & OU is hot, but not too long ago it was not so much.
