    Plus, Jon Wilner of the bayareanewsgroup picked cal for under 5 wins and commented that the bears have to play N.Texas who won seven games last year. Bears playing with a new qb leaves little margin for error.

    They have had some winning seasons, but the last two years they are 7-6 overall and 3-5 conf, 6-6 overall and 3-5 conf.

    There could be something to this advantage. The avg temp in Aug is 72/55 and Sept is 74/55. It is definately a lot cooler at Cal.

    Funny that you should bring up Commerce, they have the best bbq tailgating. A guy I used to work with is from there and has won dozens of bbq awards including chicken, ribs and whole hogs.
