Ok, fair enough. How about a feature on how our freshmen/new recruits are progressing? Talking with coaches to get details on young depth?

Carthel is unimpressive, Keller is too old, and Holtz won’t come.

Great question. Maybe we should be discussing this instead?

Well, it pays well and has university resources and support. Excellent facilities. Fertile recruiting territory, with an easy location/school to sell. Those are strong positives for an up-and-comer looking to make his mark (e.g., baby Briles) or someone looking for a rebound (e.g., Sumlin). Probably not so attractive to someone in a parallel position (e.g., Traylor, Holtz).

He never comments on anything. Just dumps his negativity and runs so you all will click on it. It’s off-putting to me. Sorry.

Do you ever write anything remotely positive?

SMU will never, ever, NEVER, be in the Big 12. They add nothing in terms of television revenue, and Tech, Baylor, TCU, and Houston would be against their inclusion for different reasons.

He won’t have to wait long for Tech to open up.

This might be THE game that gets everyone fired.

I mean, I understand what you are saying. But ultimately it doesn’t matter. This season is shot, and few (if any) on the current staff will return.

This was an awful game in every way. I regret attending. My 11 year old son said, “dad, I thought you said UNT had a good offense?” Unless there is a monumental reversal of fortune, this has to be the final year. And I really liked SL initially.

To your point, I have several Northern Illinois friends who believe they are a serious contender for the Big 12.
