  1. This just brings up my point. What is our Brand??? The university says it is our Diving Eagle. Use it.
  2. You should. The school and administration want our Logo to be instantly recognizable. What better way to show it off. I am not saying people shouldn’t use the “unofficial logo”. I actually fly the green Texas flag under my UNT flag at my tailgate. Our Diving Eagle is unique to our university and what a great place to proudly show it off than a giant flag in front of our stadium. Just saying…
  3. But it isn’t our brand. The Diving Eagle is.
  4. I read once that UNT wants the “Diving Eagle” to be our brand. Every time anyone sees it, they will think ‘That’s UNT’. I like the modern Diving Eagle. My question is: Why don’t we use it more??? We have a giant green Texas flag (unofficial logo) in front of our stadium. I have heard people driving through think it represents Texas as a “green energy state”, whatever that means. The giant flag should be the Diving Eagle in either white on green or green on white. Our official logo! I am fine with one throwback jersey/helmet a season. We did that already (Flying Worm). Please use our current logo. If you want to trick up the uniform, use the wings on the helmet, or green chrome, or silver chrome, or black. Now Win!!! All I ask.
  5. Our walk on receivers (Burns, Pirtle) are out performing our highly recruited receivers and tight ends. I know not all recruits live up to expectations but so far 3-4 years worth of highly ranked receivers and tight ends aren’t making plays on the field. Is something going wrong with their development???
  6. If your offensive line is controlling the line of scrimmage then it works. Ours wasn’t. Should’ve tried something else. Just my opinion…
  7. Our walk on receivers are playing well. Would like to see more from our “highly recruited” receivers.
  8. I was excited for tailgating and the game also. Then this week I tested positive for COVID-19. So minus 1 for attendance. My son, daughter in law, her father and brother will use my tickets, and my grandsons will be there. GMG!!!
  9. Unfortunately I am not symptom free. I got the swine flu in 2008. I feel like that. Just terrible. I am starting a steroid and some other things prescribed by the doctor. Supposed to boost my immune system for a speedy recovery.
  10. I will be cleared on the 12th. I was going to the SMU game also… Just Damn!!!
  11. I am fully vaccinated. I work as a therapist in a large school district. So I wanted to protect the medically fragile kids I work with. Kinda surprised I got this. I am very healthy and rarely get sick at all. Go figure…
  12. I was so totally pumped for tailgating and the UNT football game this weekend. Then I started running a fever this week. Got my test results. Positive for COVID-19. Quarantined for 10 days. I buy season tickets for my sons, daughter in law, and grandkids. Now I will be cheering from home. I am just so frustrated… Enjoy the game people! GMG!!!
  13. Anyone read the article from Sportschatplace.com?Here is the link https://t.co/f2EJcvWZyb Lists UNT’s stats from 2015 when we were 1-11. Just lazy researching.
  14. I hope Enoch has a monster year which will keep double teams off Novil.
  15. Don’t decrease capacity. Doesn’t division 1 have minimum seating requirements? What I would like to see is a padded area on the wall of the north end zone so our players can jump on to after scoring. Like a “Lambeau Leap”. Looks great on camera and gets the fans in the cheap seats involved. We can call it The Eagles Landing!
  16. I hate to admit it, but when I attended (early to mid 90’s), I never once attended a game. Then I started a family and wanted something affordable we could do. Back then at Fouts there was a “family package”. 4 tickets, a large domino’s pizza and 4 drinks for like $25. Cheaper than a high school game. I was hooked. I have had season tickets ever since. Now I buy for my boys and their children. 3 generations of Mean Green fans at every home game!!!
  17. His shuttle and 3 cone times showed what NFL teams would want to see in a slot receiver. Quick and elusive. The 40 time is not elite but, very good. Young man will be drafted and hopefully will have a long productive career.
  18. So today’s my birthday. I opened my email and saw an email from UNT congratulating me and giving me a 10% coupon for merchandise and free shipping. I think “I’d like a new hat and shirt.” Pick what I want and start online checkout. Enter my code and get a message that the code is invalid. Really!!! Just mean(green)...
  19. I remember reading a few years ago that UNT wants the diving eagle to be our logo. That UNT wants that logo to instantly be associated by anyone that sees it to think of the university. So why do we keep using that boring logo and jersey? Once every couple of years, okay. We need all the recruiting help we can get. Please use the modern jerseys and helmets. Kids/players do care what they look like in them. Honoring the past doesn’t mean you have to dress like them. Just my 2 cents...
  20. Geez, I forgot about his suspension. Even worse what we did today.
  21. And have won 7 of them. Think we beat LaTech? Hopefully we can beat UTEP.
  22. That is not an excuse! UTSA brought in an entire new coaching staff, offensive scheme and switched to a 3-4 defense. No spring ball and limited fall practice. They looked much better than us.
  23. The DC at utsa is new and switched them to a 3-4 scheme this season. Made our defense look absolutely horrible.
  24. My grandson has a Baby Scrappy on his onesie. Just covered by his mommas arms.
  25. I want to see UNT be a dominant team in CUSA. Until then I will enjoy the little things.
