  1. This is not the same situation. And I think you meant Tony Benford, not Mitchell.
  2. Best lead blocker north, south, east, AAAAAND west of the Rio Grande. Chico's offense will explode from a 3.75 yards per play average to a whopping 3.9!
  3. I'm surprised Liberty didn't make the list.
  4. I'm so glad we're not playing Monmouth tbh

  6. I loved the Army series, but I also understand and respect (not a comment towards you) the decision of the coaches and administration. I don't have to prepare for it nor do I have to travel for it so I don't have squat to say. The Army for Liberty wasn't a 1-for-1 decision either. It opened us up for those other teams, which I am okay with. The folks that don't understand that either don't want to or are just focused on the initial shock of the downgrade from Army to Liberty. It was a net positive move because of the other teams we did get, instead of playing the same team over and over (very uncreative imo).
  7. Purely in terms of scheduling, the garbage win addition of Liberty is outweighed by the additions of Houston, Cal, Memphis, and Wyoming so I guess for me it makes up for it.
  8. That seems like an extreme overreaction. To not donate at all seems that something else is at play here. Football is expensive and market price changes. We get what we pay for, and I'm sorry that you are getting priced out (I got priced out last season and am in GA now), but I expect these pricing structure changes means we are in for a more quality athletic program, instead of coasting by with putting lipstick on aging facilities.
  9. Ben's making a valid point: It doesn't matter that you can identify talent if you're not bringing that talent it in. Early on this cycle, though, we seem to be doing better. Still early in the process to say "Hey we're doing awesome!" or to say "See we still suck at this!", but so far so good.
  10. I mean I didn't read the article cause it's so weird this specific site exists and that it really is just about Texas teams. But I don't think Fine hits 5,000 yards. That's not a knock, this offense is more balanced than we give it credit for. Littrell's 2 seasons: 50/50 pass/rush.
  11. Looking at sports-reference, there have been 15 passers with 5,000 yards in a season (with repeat QBs like Harrell). 14 winning teams. 1 losing team (5-7 Mahomes' Tech). Passing a lot on a team built to pass a lot works, y'all.
  12. If before the Littrell era you would have told me that we would look forward to a Thursday night game vs FAU I would have puked in my mouth a little bit.
  13. Rico definitely not a silent one lol. He's got great yards after catch ability and can break some tackles. Just need him to win contested balls more often.
  14. Jesus you are the whiniest poster on here. Maybe take some cheese with you and make your own board: The Whine and Green. The younger folks are the one's leading the charge for a better football culture, but how would you know since all you do is complain and feel entitled to it?
  15. I'll stand by my stance that they've got the talent. As @aztecskin reminded me, they're replacing coaching staff. I think the talent overcomes it. The new OC comes from SHSU, and they put up some numbers last year. Not that it's a predictor, and I'm not familiar with what they ran, but it's at least telling what he'll be bringing in. #1 passing offense and #37 rushing offense.
  16. So do they consider UNT vs FAU a tossup at this point?
  17. I guess I'm eating my words. At +21 now. But in my opinion, while Oklahoma may not be a national championship contender, it's still going to be a strong team. I think Allen will do fine. OU still sucks.
  18. I think I just found reason #6 for pessimism heading into 2018
  19. Or a better reason is that we have such a good stable of QBs that they don't have to start as true freshman. (Unless of course said true freshman is a phenom, which would also be nice)
