  1. A better question is what isn't disappointing about Liberty. I know what the response will be from on here but there's a 0% chance of me ever attending a home game in which we play them. Being even remotely associated with these folks is disgraceful. I don't want a dime of my ticket benefiting Liberty.
  2. Sucks for those of us who care about video or audio quality.
  3. So the Army games are no more? What a disappointment. That could've turned into a fun rivalry and will bring way more fans home and away than Fallwell U.
  4. Embarrassing. I'd prefer ACU. I'd prefer Houston Baptist. Liberty is an abhorrent institution that hides bigotry behind religion. That's one of the reasons I'm unhappy about this, but not the only reason.
  5. It was more of a joke, but I know you have no sense of humor or sarcasm.
  6. I know. As soon as I move back to Denton... Except it's at Anheiser-Busch (I mean karbach) so I probably wouldn't go anyway.
  7. Indeed. I was referring to his comment about the Arlington rangers.
  8. Nah, I 110% agree with you on both points. The people who disagree are the ones who just want to spend student money/taxpayer money like water... That's just asinine and enraging.
  9. That is too dark of a green for that helmet, plus there is a black stroke on Mean Green and a cheaper decal than what was used under Mac. That is not from that era. Probably 05-06, but yeah the face mask is wrong.
  10. When people ask me where I went to school, I say "North Texas." All of our alums have a degree from North Texas. Not all of them have a degree from UNT
  11. They may be trying, but it is still disproportionately commuter. I had a few friends who went there. It has very little on-campus activities, etc and I know for a fact those dorms have high vacancies. UTA's average student age is pretty high. 28 as I recall. Those people don't want to live in dorms. If I lived in the Metroplex, I'm not really sure what the draw of living on campus would be either. It's not like young people are begging to get into Arlington. I mean this is a side argument, I'm just explaining why UTA not having a football team hasn't really hurt the school.
  12. UTA is a heavy commuter college and serves a different purpose than the standard university. Don't get me wrong it is an excellent university, but it and UTD are focused on non-traditional, commuters. Much like we used to.
  13. In athletics sure. As far as our institution as a whole, it shows how far we fell behind in athletics to be considered peers with A-State. I'm sure Rice feels the same way about us, and SMU with UH.
  14. That's because you live in Houston. Same way UH is irrelevant in DFW.
  15. Except those arenas have been renovated and weren't cheaply built. The ultimate problem with the Pit is that we can't add suites and it is too large. Renovations can't fix the two issues above.
  16. It's not about performance it's about ceiling. A-State is at their ceiling.
  17. Except that there is no basis to the reality that A-State is a better job. Agree with everything else.
  18. Wow. This A-State AD sounds seriously small time. Whine a bit more.
  19. A-State is lower than UNT in every metric, academically, financially, etc. UNT would never lose coaches like State does, because we have the academic prestige and money backing that State could never have. This is a natural step up from a low-tier G5. A more accurate analogy would be from UNT to Houston.
  20. A badass AD who lets his coaches get poached as if his program is the minor leagues.
