    This is a great point. Look at the recruiting and you can see the future of the program. In Mcs case most the key players were not his recruits! The length of the renew was 1 yr to long.

    Geeez! RV pay was ranked 77 out of all Div 1 AD. He's ranked 2nd in comp in G5 Texas schools at 300k behind UH at 500k! The money and opportunity is there. If they leave in 3 yrs because of success great! Haters hate!

    Looks great! I like the guys that have very limited resources, but make it work! I also like the La Tech AD.

    From compensation stand point in 2013 RV was ranked 77 at $300,000 a year. Show to be ahead of La Tech, Fresno, Marshall, Colo St to name a few. On G5's in Texas only UH pays more at over 500k. The compensation will be their to attract a top notch candidate. Someone coming from a P5 with all the money in the world would not be attractive to me. I think a fundraiser and getting butts in the seats would be key. Given he knows how to hire and if they fail be able to bail without a big payoff. (short term extensions) GMG

    Compared to the other C-USA athletic departments we have the top or near the top in facilities. Ahhhh UNT should have advanced facilities after all it is called a college education. He lost he job for one main reason W/L record. Looking forward to the new hire! GMG

    Not so much La Tech. AD wants a good payday but also very important is the increased budget. The new AD will have to worry very little about raising $ for facilities, except baseball. The AD at La Tech is 37.

    The goal is not to better than what we were, but to be better than what is currently happening with SM! The youth of these coaches should realize this! The old NTSU would of stayed put! That is a change, but it is a change from a screw up that gave that long of an extension!
