  1. Why would marijuana use increase if it were legal? Would you start smoking? I wouldn't. Do you drink on the streets besides the ones that allow it? Do you smoke in places that say no smoking? Good question. Let's ban cigarettes. Those cause cancer. No. This is a good question too. So there's a fight going on with companies and their employees regarding their at home behavior. Employers are starting to fire/not hire people if they smoke cigarettes due to the increased health care costs. It'll be interesting to see how the courts work it out. I don't see how there would be an increase in unemployment if we stop giving handouts. No money to buy weed = no weed. And if the courts rule in the companies favor, the companies could still require drug tests for marijuana even if its legal in the US. So if you work for a company that bans marijuana use, no soup fo youuu. I'd imagine the dominos, jack in the boxes, etc., of the world would still allow it, so maybe you'll get a little extra cheese on your pizza or an extra patty on your burger by mistake.
  2. I gotta go with Monkeypox in that crime primarily is linked to marijuana as a side effect of it being illegal. Look at the prohibition days and the crime that surrounded alcohol. Its no different today, just a different drug. If you're against marijuana being legal, then I don't see how you can support alcohol being legal. Everything comes down to personal responsibility imo. When people abuse alcohol and drink and drive, bad things happen. Just like if someone were to smoke marijuana and drive the taco bell. The chance of something bad happening is there in both cases. Alot of your articles said the person used other drugs too. Is alcohol not a gateway drug then also? What if someone beat or murdered someone at the gas station while not being on drugs. What's his excuse? I don't think we can always link crime to drugs in every situation. What's to say they weren't just a messed up individual?
  3. That threat is what bothers me. My understanding was that the Keystone pipeline was going to run next to existing pipelines that already criss cross all throughout the US. It seems like his decision was just to appeal to the environmentalists even though the pipeline's effects were not going to be detrimental to the environment. I know his decision ticked off some unions who looked forward to the increase in jobs. Didn't the house pass something lately that requires Obama to revisit the Keystone idea?
  4. Definitely leave the outfield for students. This has been popular at the softball games. a hill in left field would be cool for them to sit on. I like the covered idea too. Baseball has alot of day games so the comfort of the shade would be nice for the fair weather folk. The mean green village is going to be sweet after track moves over, baseball is started, football has its indoor, and the new dorm next to victory is completed.
  5. No worries guys, we have 4 bold new goals.
  6. I'll be disappointed somewhat. I'll still be at all the games and my support wont change, but we are trying to improve our program to move up, not to stay stagnant. I would like an explanation to what we are lacking (minus a consistent program which I truly feel is on the rise now), if anything, and what we need to work on. It'd be nice if RV could provide some kind of update?? Is this stealth recruiting?
  7. You must've forgotten Evan Roman.
  8. What.Did.I.Just.Watch. "Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Wag the tailgate!" - Chompers. I can't stop laughing. This is going to provide bits for the rest of the offseason.
  9. I think we need a new sex tape release. Can someone alert the athletic department to capitalize on the free exposure through twitter next time? Remember, it needs to be the #NorthTexasSextape or the #MeanGreenSextape. Not #UNTsextape. We can't mess this up. Someone please let JaQueefa know.
  10. Imo, DT did an excellent job of taking shots downfield. We've missed this alot this year and he let his receivers (Delgado, Bynes) make big plays last Saturday. DT is a gunslinger and we need Chico to encourage that mentality. So I'm not sure if it was DT going back to his style of play or Chico encouraging it. Either way we need more of it on Saturday. GMG.
  11. Two "running" backs or a TB and FB? Didn't we hear alot about another running back on the roster during the spring? I agree, I hope we are picking up another rb this fall/spring. I agree with the previous posters. James offers a different style of running compared to Dunbar and surprisingly for how small he is, he continually runs with his head down.
  12. I don't have a problem with the few morons in the tea party or OWS. I have a problem with the news networks that portray the Tea party as racist and convince their drone followers that the Tea party wants to hang Obama.
  13. Don't waste your time. Nevermind the fact that there are countless videos showing plain as day anti-semitism or socialist views, the Tea-party are the real racists. I know you saw that guy at the tea party rally that had Obama with a hitler mustache. Dang racists. I hate Capitalism and everything about the free market. So I protest against capitalism and banks being bailed out. Because banks being bailed out = capitalism. Right? Stupid corporations like Exxon are messing up the world. Did you see Exxon's absurd profits for the 3rd quarter and 8% profit margin??? They are so greedy and evil. Exxon should be more like Apple. Apple has a much bigger profit margin, uses sweat shops in china to keep prices down, and I love their new Iphone 4S that I take to all the OWS rallies for videoing.
  14. When you don't come to this board anymore due to the complaining, don't come back. We don't like quitters.
  15. I agree, its nice to have a salty defense. I think we may be having to bump his salary in a few years.
  16. What are my dues to be your friend and come to your tailgate? Sorry "brah", I'll be inside watching the game. Sigma Chi is another one with a nice tailgating only following.
  17. Your argument is weak. I suggested they sneak in flasks because it appears that they require an alcoholic beverage in their hand at all times. So hopefully they'd fill their flask with something strong enough to fulfill their alcoholic needs for four quarters of their school's football game. What does talking about allowing beer in the stadium have anything to do with this thread? Sure, I'd support it but I'm still going to be at the game regardless if they sell beer or not. Fratdaddys will not.
  18. Fraternities, feel free to come inside. I can assure you its not hard to sneak in an airplane bottle since it is evidently a must that you have an alcoholic beverage in hand, all day.
  19. Heading out to The Hill. Hows the atmosphere so far? I would like to be forced to walk from Crooked Crust on Fry due to so many people.
