  1. Why dont you let the coach hire his entire staff... Judging him because of 2 hires is completely irrational.
  2. Nick Saban must be a subpar coach. His 15-17 record with the Dolphins, a subpar NFL team. He only had National Championships at LSU and Bama......
  3. Childish? You were right about one thing when the majority where not, just like Prechter. What the public hears what what actually happens are two different stories. You just cant seem to understand that.
  4. You remind me of Robert Prechter. But I'm irrational and theres no way a 20 something (actually 28) knows anything about Robert Prechter and elliot wave theory. Calling you a grumpy old man isn't name calling, it's a fact. Sorry you cant see that.
  5. You cant have rational conversations with 30 year old's? This is kind of ironic coming from the person who has a lot of irrational post. Yes, younger people are more optimistic with an open mind. That's not a bad thing. Now if you're calling me irrational, that's completely false.
  6. Everyone wanted RV to do a home and home, now theyre complaining about it.. Make up your mind
  7. Youre just a grumpy old man who hates adults in their 30's.
  8. Inexperienced doesn't mean not qualified. Everyone has to get experience.
  9. Well, that proves my point that most coaches were a GA at some point. Yeah, I have no doubt about his ability and experience. I mean, I've been licensed for 4 years but I know more about option trading than most financial advisers will ever know. Just because you have little experience doesn't mean that you're not qualified. I feel with a lot of older people on the board, they dont trust the youth. Yep, he's a good guy. He was one of the smartest player during the Dodge era.
  10. I was actually talking to Jesse Holley about this on twitter, I went on a little tangent but the principle is the same, especially under Leech guys. Leech guys have skipped the whole GA process and started out as a QA/QC specialist. Kliff was first at UH under Dana, Harrell and Filani did the same. From what I was seeing, its only with Leech guys but there are others who went straight to a position coach after NFL/HS but its really rare. JJ Johnson was a QA during first year at Rice, I believe they already filled out their GA position for that year. He then went to be a GA the year after.
  11. Sorry, my point still stands that he's the first to sign a deal longer than one year.
  12. I believe he's the first player since Cobb to receive an extension greater than one year?? I do believe Craig has only signed one year deals and Dunbar is still on his rookie contract.
  13. I think throwing up in the middle of the bar again at 8pm on homecoming was my last hurrah... At least Lori wasnt there to kick me out
  14. Yes, we meet at the local Tav on Thursday's at 3pm
  15. Do you really think Littrell knows the programs history? No, he doesn't. He couldn't tell you anything without seeing them in person. He just came to Denton for the first time yesterday. Do you really think he has a solid idea on who his QB's are?
  16. It's one of his first interview. Give the guy a break here..
  17. Gotcha, that makes sense. I think that's pretty clear. Anyone that thinks that RV made this hire isn't paying that close attention.
  18. It wouldn't be that crazy for Mangino to come to UNT to be the OC/AHC, he's currently unemployed. My step dad is the COO of Zoes Kitchen. The current CEO of Zoe's Kitchen reported to stepdad at La Madeleine. My step dad was the COO and he was a VP. My step dad was hired right before Zoes went public. There's a reason why the CEO wanted to hire my step dad; experience, leadership, etc... Not everyone who use to be the boss of someone can now take direction from that same person. Would this work with Littrell and Mangino?? I have no idea but it's not that out of reach if I've seen it happen right in front of my own eyes.
  19. I'm very confused why everything is talking about what he learned from Leach. Look at his resume: 2014-present - North Carolina Assistant Head Coach for Offense/Tight Ends ---- HC is under Mike Gundy tree 2012-13 - Indiana Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends/Fullbacks ----- HC is under Bob Stoops tree2011 - Arizona Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends/H-Backs ----- HC is under Bob Stoops tree 2010 - Arizona Co-Offensive Coordinator/Running ----- HC is under Bob Stoops tree2009 - Arizona Running Backs & Tight Ends Coach ----- HC is under Bob Stoops tree2005-08 - Texas Tech Running Backs Coach ----- Mike Leach who was his OC at OU in 1999/ 2002-04 - Kansas Graduate Assistant ---- HC is under Bob Stoops tree 4 years at OU -- HC is Bob Stoops I'm excited that his under Bob Stoops tree. He was able to learn how to build a winning team from nothing while being a GA at Kansas under Mangino. 2002-2004 recruits won the 2007 orange bowl He was an Offensive Coordinator 5 years after of coaching. Helped jump start Indiana. Well, lets just say he's the OC of a team playing in the ACC Championship game. That excites me a lot actually.
  20. Why did Georgia announce that Smart is going to be their head coach before Alabama's game?
  21. Here's my two cents and why Chico did what he did. We had nothing to play for. Everyone can say we'll win for the seniors, blah blah blah. Chico is a players coach. In result, he'd going to let the players play, especially the qb's who he works with everyday. If they win, well, thats just adds to the experience to them. Utimatley, they didn't, Chico was probably most upset because one of his leaders got a major pentilty and another 15 yarder on top of it. He's thinking, man, I'm putting the players in position to have a game winning drive but they just f'd it up like they've been doing all season. Do I agree with my opinion about his decision... Eh. Football players parents need to take after the Buyers, they get it. We tailgate with them every game and we can talk about good Kenny and bad Kenny.
