Ok, forget the North Texas chant stuff
Dr. Seuss replied to meangreenbob's topic in Mean Green Football
Are you kidding me, The NORTH....TEXAS chant is the only good chant we have. I dont know how saying "striving for victory" is going to send chills down a persons back. Unless you like "That was bad" chant, which is the WORST chant in college football. -
Or why dont we have 2 helmets, 3 jersey, and 3 pants

Ked told me last night that he dunked over Tony Mitchell. Kinda supprising that Ked is dunking now again, i think hes getting a little jealous of Tony dunking skills

Dr. Seuss replied to jperg2's topic in Mean Green Football
On the roster/ coaches. I dont think we need to know how much they make, maybe its just me but I dont think its anyones business knowing a person salary. Then I cant see the bottom part of all the sections it cuts it off, maybe its just my computer. But I like the layout, GMG -
Debt Ceiling
Dr. Seuss replied to Dr. Seuss's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
A lot of people think that because of his fiscal spending approach, but Bernanke would consider himself a Monetarist. Bernanke spent most of his life studying the Great Depression and he believes that the lack of credit to the consumers prolonged the Depression. Heres an article that I think you might find interesting http://reason.com/archives/2009/09/01/friedman-economics -

Sig Ep tailgate event at Indiana game
Dr. Seuss replied to kingwoodgreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Absolutely, I usually set up the tailgate for the undergrads and we would enjoy having some of the older alums out at the tailgate. You cant go wrong by singing "Drink Beer", and 'Little Yellow Bird" with the alum -
I havent had much time looking into the Debt Ceiling that I normally would have because I've been studying for my Series 7 & 63 (i passed). I've been looking it up and I personally have a lot of respect for Bernanke, I think he's one of the only logically men in office, maybe its because I tend to agree with economist more than congress. Every article I have read about Bernanke and the Debt Ceiling is that its not an option and it must be done. Then there are congressman not agreeing with it because of their party. Then you have Obama not knowing anything. Maybe I'm just young and inexperienced but I've looked up Bernanke and I really think he knows what he's talking about in comparison to congress and Obama because I think they're more worried about the upcoming election rather than the economy. When you have the nations top economist saying that this is the only option, I would think that they know more than a person about to graduate with an Economics degree. Whats y'alls opinion?

Could not agree with you more. I dont know why everyone thinks this team/ wide receivers will be in shambles because we lost a wide receiver with a 500 yards season. He is NOT dunbar, he a punk kid who thinks everything should be handed to him. He tells the whole team that he will be a leader, and move on from his old lifestyle. Then two months later he gets kicked off the team. Macs showing the team its about your character and life skills after football. Football wont be there forever, and maybe 1 person might make it on a NFL training camp roster.

I was a huge fan of bringing the pirate to UNT bc we built a new ship and needed a captain, but couldnt be more thrilled with Mac leading this team. I think bringing Leach here would of instantly been better, just because of his national reputation and recent success. He brought a team from the middle of west Texas with nothing, to a program that is national recognized. But long term, I think Mac will be better. Mac did the same thing in Ames but that happened back in 2005 and people just dont remember that far back (nationally). Mac brought the spark that the team needed, once the team found out that some guy with a 52-84(?) record is the coach, they assumed this guy wasn't qualified. After he was hired and spoke to the team, those reactions were quickly turned around. He spoke from the heart and showed his passion and drive about bringing success to North Texas. He instantly made this team believe that he will turn this program around. I cant wait to see what Mac and Co bring, because I know it will be 10x better than what UNT has had in the past 20 years

They also listed him as a freshman coming out in 2013,he wont drop a whole round because of the talent coming out next year. If youre projected to be a top 5 pick, I can guarantee he will still be a lotto pick in 2012
-
http://www.nbadraft.net/2013mock_draft They have Tony Mitchell going #5 in the 2013 draft
-
I dont think yall know how we do things.. We start with the makers for pregame, beer for tailgating, makers in our flask, and a bottle of Aberlour and a padron celebrating the win Oh yeah the girls will be there too Then going out to the tavern yelling north texas chants
-
Well the fraternities will be tailgating in the grass with everyone else and having bigger and better tailgates then all the alum

Florida defensive end and TE transferring to?
Dr. Seuss replied to Harry's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Martin was a 5* recruit out of hs and originally committed to Cal, but McFarland was recruited by Mac.... Only one can hope Edit: "Martin was arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession in late January." Well I dont think Mac wants to deal with those kind of players -

http://rise.espn.go.com/football/articles/2010/04/15-texas-nftc-lb-review.aspx •Kendall Washington -- 6-1, 195, Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, Texas) Elite level speed, made a ton of plays on pure athleticism. •Derek Akunne -- 11, 228, North (Garland, Texas) Great closing speed, thick and well muscled, very intriguing player. Sleeper Who Emerged: Derek Akunne -- 5-11, 228, North (Garland, Texas)
