For anyone who doesn't like it, I would put money on Apogee either not surviving for 20 years or being acquired by a larger corporation. Obviously the latter would be best because they would likely keep the millions rolling in, but one of the two is likely (Ameriquest anyone?).

This. I switched my seats yesterday and got a look at sections on their computer screen. Tons of open seats. The paper tags on the "available seats" was purely a marketing ploy to create a sense of urgency.

FWIW, I overheard RV telling someone that he did not know where those came from, but they were definitely NOT our new helmets.

That's interesting, Mark. Based on the info she gave you, I could have gotten in as an '08 grad for $100. Unfortunately, the ticket agent I worked with was apparently unaware of this program. She knew I was a recent grad, as those were the season tickets she was working with me to purchase, yet said the only option I had was the full $250. I am bummed to hear about something I was not offered that I would have done, but at least one of the agents (Elizabeth) is aware of the program!

Don't worry, I was there in 2004. I know. I voted. It has yet to be collected because the terms were not conditional on football. It has yet to be collected because the terms were that the increase would not go into effect until the program was in place (or how it turned out, the arena was completed). This way, it would be collected from students who benefited from it, as opposed to collecting it from students who graduate years before it is complete.

True story: Uta held a student vote in 2004 or 2005 regarding whether or not they should add an athletic fee to tuition. All talk and promotion leading up to it was that if it passed, the money would be used to bring the football program back. The vote passed, and the next day in the school newspaper the president announced that the money would be used to build this new basketball arena that is mentioned up top. Something that was not mentioned once before voting. Pulled the ole bait and switch on the student body who thought they were voting to bring football back.

I might be late to the party, but I am pretty sure I have read through all of the posts and haven't seen this asked: What are the grey sections on the west side? I do not see them listed on the legend. I am assuming they are $150 tickets with $0 required donation, but I am not sure.

I have heard the name Matt McGettigan for strength and conditioning coach from a very reliable source. Currently serving that role at Air Force, former strength coach of the year, and formerly served that role at Iowa State under Mccarney.

I saw that too, but FBschedules.com or whatever it is has IU's schedule completely booked, unless we played them Nov.12 in the middle of conference play.
