Mason is Numero Uno at 11:00 a.m. today, 546 votes (44%); OU Dude is running second at 400 votes (33%); and Uncle Miltie is in turd place with 65 votes (5%). It is a long race, so get in a good rhythm and vote your asses off! At least that was the advice I got from SL. 🙂

UPDATE. Stumbled into a page on their site which stated that Round 2 voting opens at Noon tomorrow, 11/7/18. Stiil no list for Round 2, so they must not have announced the players yet.

I think we're in danger of looking ahead to the game on the fifteenth with the foul owls for some revenge, somewhat worried about the fast turnaround for that game, and not quite focused. Just checked the site...looks like they are set up to plug in the second-round players. Could be a slightly different format, which makes sense with fewer names to deal with. Looks like voters have the option to compare the stats of three players before casting a vote for one of them. As of 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, no players are announced on the site.

It would be nice to see Mason over 50% at the end of this round, then enjoy a round (or three), and rest those fingers for a couple of days until Round 2 starts on Tuesday afternoon. Rumor: Our enemy to the south threw in to help OU Dude just to spite us, but we caught them in the act!

That will be like another home game for Army. The Roadrunner fans will have to clean up their act...all 1,000 of them that will show up. I look forward to seeing some video of Army-fan facial expressions if nUTSAck rolls out that "cannon". 🙂

This idea has made sense for many years. There are many financial, PR and other advantages for all four schools. Now that we have a basketball-savvy Pres. and AD, maybe they can find a way to nudge their Metroplex counterparts and get past whatever issues have stood in the way. I have no definitive information on the impediment(s), just an assumption of snobbery.
