  4. Aaron Bellazin, DE from Everman is #5!!!!
  5. I was a little nervous about Orr, I am happy to have him aboard.....
  6. The fact that Dunbar was a 2 star recruit tells me that ratings services are not the be all end all of college football....
  7. I want a JUCO DT, a high school DT and a QB.....I think we are going to be much better on the DL this year as opposed to last year...Overall I think we can put a defense out there that can hold teams to 25 points or less most of the time......That is assuming ST's are much better and turnovers are way down, especially turnovers that turn directly into points as we saw probably 5 times last year or more....
  8. From what I have seen watching film of USF, is that the QB's were put in position to make easy reads and there was often a guy that created good seperation. There seems to be alot of rollouts and bootlegs with fakes and run/pass options for the QB. I for one think this will fit Riley perfectly, and think he will win the job hands down. Now lets just hope he can stay on the field.....
  9. I guess lucky for us he was a freshman, that is if Riley is the QB next year....
  10. I could not be more happy right now. I hope the differense can show up on the field. Great hire UNT!!!
  11. I would take Darius over Outlaw at this point......But I think all of those guys will get alot of chances....
  12. Just announced on the air on 103.3 ESPN radio that UNT will hire Mike Canales as OC!
  13. The DRC is a subsidiary of the DMN so most of his stories are in the DMN. The same cannot be said for TCU. And why recruiting notes about SMU do not make the DMN is a mystery to me....
  14. I am pleasantly surprised with the way this class is shaping up so far. Besides the Hall thing, I think this has been a good haul. If only we could get a DT......
  15. He is 6'2" 175lbs. That is all of 1 inch and 10 pounds less than Scotty Young of Ryan.....Dodge wants guys that can run and pass and this is a guy that can do both....
  16. Motion won't solve any execution problems, but what it can do is give away the defensive coverage. When a guy is in motion and a defender shuffles to another position and the defense shifts over, you know you are looking at zone. When a defender whom is following the motion man turns his hips and runs across the formation, you know you are looking at man. In college, these teams are going to disguise their coverages as much as possible and I think using motion would help our QB's. How many times did you see Riley throw a pick right at a guy because he read man and it was zone? I do agree we need to execute much better, especially in the redzone. Can you say fullback?
  17. Is there a reason why our offense never uses any motion? Our offense constantly reacts to what the defense does, but why don't we force them to react to what we are doing? Teams know that when they play us, all they have to do is line up. There is no attempt to put our skill players in advantageous situations or mismatches. I just wonder why this offense does not use motion.
  18. Galloway called our game the best of the night and maybe the best of the weekend. He truly wants UNT to win.
  19. If Royce keeps that up he will be playing on Sunday's! I think I saw one pass caught on him for about 5 yards. He looks fast and confident.
  20. I would have to suggest that the author look at his surroundings and soak it all in. Yes, you are in Texas and football is king. I love what Coach Jones has done with the basketball team and I am very proud of them and what they have done recently, but this is a football state. Even though we have not been good in football recently, it provides the most excitement of all sports we have.
  21. I will be there with a couple of our fellow alumni!!!
  22. Is the game broadcasted on KTXA 21 too locally? I heard it was. Now that I live in Fort Worth though, not sure if that is considered local or not.
