It was made clear by Wren Baker that all the "wants" would have to wait and that the athletic center/weight room expansion is A#1 on the list of priorities. When can we expect this work to begin?

I'll add....if he wins the AAC this year and say he goes 10-2...he's going to rebuild next season with a new QB (I think Harris is out of eligibility.....maybe he'll get a 12th year I don't know) But say he has a good year this year and P5 comes calling, I would think he has a hard time saying no. Traylor is doing a great job of greasing the exit skids. You sign the big deal then you add the “I was told they would keep investing in the program” Smart move on his part He gets to have it both ways now. Big money. Put the program in trouble because they’re paying you so much money….then set the school up to blame when you leave. Hey it won’t be Traylor’s fault. UTSA didn’t hold up their end of the bargain. what are they going to do if they go 6-6 in 2 years. Always a possibility. Those eggs in that basket are gonna get heavy.

Quick story. Right after he was hired….there was a coaches caravan in Rockwall. I took my boys. They were probably 5 and 3? This unassuming guy walks over and introduces himself and starts talking to my kids. Most people were there to see the football coach. I talked to him for a little bit. I just knew he was the new bball coach but coming off the Benford mess I hadn’t given bball much thought…. He was so friendly and nice to my kids. lesson for everyone…..(and a big regret for me) Get a pic with any new coach and your kids when that opportunity arises. You never know if they’ll be the best coach of that sport in your schools history….

He was so great for UNT and we were so great for him. Can’t really make something like this any better. The entire way this was handle was A+ can’t be mad.

I don't think we've ever had an "our coach is leaving" go as well as this one has.

How McCasland and Hodge kept this team focused during this NIT run with all the news swirling. How many times do you see this happen and teams fold and lose focus. I think it's pretty obvious that the team new about Mac moving on and stepped up big time. Big kudos to the staff for addressing it with the team head on, keeping it in house and the players for staying focused. This shows the culture that is built here and with Hodge taking over, the culture should stay intact. It's why I'm not worried about McCasland moving on. The future is so bright.
