Rick, I just watched it and his screams gave me chills. Pray these guys are caught or confronted by someone like Mr. Horn and not someone who can't deal with it. Mr. Horn may have had a pre-conceived notion that someone crawling through his neighbor's window had a weapon(actually anyone would think so until after the carcasses are examined). Even though the men turned away eventually(probably a matter of milliseconds), Mr. Horn should have known they were not a threat(and they were probably gooood people). When a situation arises like this a person has got to be prepared to react quickly and live with the consequences. If he goes to jail or not, that choice was much harder than one of us sitting behind a laptop chatting about it. He may have sounded determined on the 911 call, but if the police had arrived a minute earlier his decision may have been different(it's no fault of the police). He made his choice and some think it was hasty and some think he's heroic(i side with the latter). The police can't be expected to arrive immediately. At some point we have got to be able to protect ourselves from the unknown(whether or not the person has a gun). If someone enters your home or your neighbor's you must assume they are armed. The burglars were not armed but if they were and the family were there and Mr Horn simply sat at the window and observed, there would much more reason to refer to him as "coward" whether he had a gun or not.

Where were we 15 years ago? I believe we need at least 35,000 based on our moving to another conference or the SBC improving. It's clear we're in a stagnant state varying a few thousand every year and we need to get the ball rolling for the future and make sure 15 years from now we're not sitting in a 1/2 or 3/4 full 30k seat stadium. If we build a 31k seat stadium and we're selling 15-21k seats we will never get a 40,000 seat stadium

I agree, a lot of the skeptics may feel like a young 20 something fella who sits at home, drinking, and feeling like his girlfriend is going out and cheating on him. This goes on for two...three....ten...twelve days then all of a sudden he sees her and KNOWS she's fooling around. Dodge has too much work in progress to leave right now. I believe he's as excited as we are. There have been ups ( our offensive production at times ) and downs ( the WKU incident, the racial claims, defensive production at times ), but this guy's heart is in the game. He knew when he got here that it was not going to be a utopia ( like we think SLC was ). Give him some time, heck with a few bounces the other way we COULD be on the verge of 6 or maybe 7 wins. He will, inevitably, leave us. But for now, We are the PERFECT storm. There will be plenty of opportunities when he decides to go.

Well, #1 we aint going to a bowl. #2 We aint going to the SEC, BIG XII, BIG XI, MWC, MidWC, ACC, BIG EASY, or PAC X. #3 I hope we aint getting new helmets, being that i've now owned the mini-white-one (third in my fine collection)for 10 days.
