Louisiana University Woes
UNTLifer replied to GTWT's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I just thought it was the same old Louisiana problem, leaders lining their pockets instead of addressing the needs of those they represent. -
The Richest Programs in College Football
UNTLifer replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Mean Green Football
And we should charge accordingly should they request a game with our program. -
Honestly, Liberty U just isn't on my radar and I trust your judgement. I also think tenure has good and bad points, but that is for another discussion. I also wasn't trying to imply that the reason people didn't like Liberty was religion based, but only that I am not a fan of their school (for no other reason than they never cross my mind) and that I don't like Jerry Falwell and his like because they are the vocal minority that many people equate with the Christian religion. After doing a little research, I would agree that their academics are a joke.

I just appreciate that they have gotten out in front of this, been transparent in their communication of the situation and have handled this, so far, in the correct manner. It is never easy when face with difficult situations, but the response speaks volumes of the character of the administration from Smatresk on down. Nice article Beauregard

I agree, but have a feeling you would be in the minority. Something tells me the majority on here would not be upset with a home and home with any of those teams. I am not a fan of Liberty, I think Falwell is a major problem with people's views on Christianity today, but this is just a game. I mean, we play SMU and that school and it's history of athletic cheating is deplorable and nobody is screaming from the rooftops about that being morally wrong. Back on topic, I am not a fan of dumping two Army games to play Liberty. I love the Army series, although I really wish we had an Armed Forces series where we played Army a 1 for 1, then Air Force a 1 for 1, then Navy a 1 for 1 and then back to Army repeating continuously.

DRC: An early look at UNT's schedule with predictions
UNTLifer replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I just don't see Army beating us. Sure, they have a strong running game, but I think our defense will be improved enough to get us the win. Plus, their D hasn't stopped us for a full game either. I also think the SMU/UTSA games are toss ups. Old Dominion was good last year, but they look to be very young this year. -
Former Bball players under investigation
UNTLifer replied to Lurker's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Nice avoidance of the question. Yep because this happened under Trilli, Dodge, Stephens and every other lame duck coach. Try again, but this was the actions of two young men outside of the program. Such a weak argument. -
DRC: Baker reaches out to core boosters, fans via e-mail
UNTLifer replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Alternate? Sure? Full blown, out of left field conspiracy? Hmmm. Don't stoop. Better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth, or in this case, put thoughts on board and confirm it. -

18' RB Jahmyl Jeter, (Brennan HS, San Antonio) - not rated
UNTLifer replied to UNTLifer's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I just check our 247 offer page every couple of days. I enjoy keeping up with our recruiting activity, and believe SL' s staffs have been the most aggressive. Honestly, this time of year I hope for a new recruit a day since there isn't much else to discuss. Sure wish our softball team was competitive and we had baseball, as it would make the spring/early summer much less boring.
