NCAA Golf: Austin Regional Starts Today
UNTLifer replied to UNTLifer's topic in Mean Green Athletics
The medalist out of Iowa State shot a 61 today. Incredible round. Snyman got to -4 on the day (-1 overall) but then gave the stroke back on the following hole with a bogey. Well, he proceeded to birdie the next hole while I was typing this, so back to -4 (-1) Current standings for the individuals is: Zalatoris (Wake Forest) -3 McBride (NC State) -2 Fisk (GA Southern) -1 Snyman (UNT) -1 through 13 The three in front of Snyman are done for the day, so he needs a couple of birdies coming in. Let's go Ian!! You got this. Note: Rosenmueller +7 and Churchman +9 -
In all honestly, I despise SMU and their cheatin' ways, but this is so much worse than SMU's cheating. SMU didn't hurt anyone, outside of the 5 hookers & CJ, but their own program. Baylor has left a long trail of victims in their wake all in the name of winning football games. Couple this with the basketball murders and Bliss issues, and it amazes me that they even have a program. And to do so inside the walls of one of the largest Christian universities is beyond comprehension.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/new-title-ix-suit-alleges-woman-gang-raped-least-4-ex-baylor-players-154509881.html ..."The suit also alleges that before the woman arrived on Baylor’s campus, “members of the Baylor football team had already developed a system of hazing their freshman recruits by having them bring or invite freshman females to house parties hosted by members of the football team. At these parties, the girls would be drugged and gang raped, or in the words of the football players, ‘trains’ would be run on the girls.” Just sickening.

Currently, here are where we stand: (The individual, not on a Top 5 team, leader is currently -3 for the tournament) Snyman: -3 through his front nine, the back nine, today and even par for the tournament. He is tied for 14th place. Needs to stay hot and go low. Rosenmueller: +1 through his front nine, the back nine, today and +5 for the tournament. He is tied for 27th. Churchman: +1 through his front nine, the back nine, today and +8 for the tournament. Up and down round. Was -2 and went bogey/double bogey on his eighth and ninth holes of the day. Tied for 41st. The conditions must be good today as the leader is -13 for the tournament and -9 today. -
2018 Recruit Jaquan Tillis Harker Heights HS

What's the story on the massive OT, Pinkney, at Harker Heights? -
http://northtexas.247sports.com/Season/2013-Football/Commits My thoughts exactly, and while I some have had productive careers, overall this class should have received a poor rating. Failures: Manu: how the coaching staff can recruit and sign a player only to find out he has no eligibility left is inexcusable. Just a total waste and a failure by a lazy coaching staff. Nelson: Left the program early Williams: So much talent... The class is full of contributors and players that had injury issues but nobody, outside of Jackson, that really became a standout. Kidsy made a bad decision that really cost him and Smiley has probably exceeded expectations.

DRC: Report -- ODU to receive $1.32 million to play Liberty
UNTLifer replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I understand that and have always appreciated your insight in to college athletics. The thing that struck me as odd was that after what appeared to be defending our scheduling of Liberty, you responded to Cerbus' post by stating it appeared our AD got rooked. Having family members that have worked in administration and been placed in a position where they worked to clean up a mess left by previous groups, I responded by defending our AD from a fan of another school. I liken it to a neighbor walking in to my yard to point out what they don't like. You better make sure your yard is perfect. Either way, my apologies for taking the wrong tone. -

Holtz, Stockstill and Wilder are probably rated correctly, but from there on down it is a crap shoot. I don't understand Clark, Kiffin, Davis and Sanford being rated so high considering they have yet to produce anything. Well, Clark had a fairly good season, but it is difficult to gauge how his program will respond after a two year absence. Wilson should probably be rated ahead of Littrell considering he beat us last year. Holiday at Marshall has produced mixed results and doesn't seem to have the Herd headed in the right direction. Thoughts?

From my limited knowledge of the team, I would guess Churchman has the greatest shot at going low, but he has been wildly inconsistent thus far, and Rosenmueller has been the steadiest. The exciting thing is that Rosenmueller and Snyman are only in their sophomore season. -

Good move. Good ballplayer and a team first guy. He is like having another coach on the sidelines. -
The crack back block and the cut block are two different techniques.

DRC: Report -- ODU to receive $1.32 million to play Liberty
UNTLifer replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Not really. I just find it odd that a fan of another school is on our site discussing our scheduling. I have valued your input and knowledge for years, but it just strikes me as odd. I don't get bored and head to A-State's, or any other schools for that matter, fan board to dig around. I don't come over there criticizing your school, and I somehow believe that it wouldn't be taken well having a North Texas fan being critical of Arkansas State's AD. -

Rosenmueller still tied for 10th at E par through his front nine, the back nine, of the second round. Kind of an up and down round as he went par, bogey, birdie, bogey, birdie and then parred out. Maybe he can pick up a few spots on his back nine. Churchman remains at +3 through 11 holes today. All pars with one birdie and one bogey. Snyman also remains at +3 through 11 holes today with one birdie, one bogey and the rest pars. He and Churchman are tied for 22nd. The leading individual to advance is at -3, so one of our boys needs to make a move over the next 27 ish holes. -

18' OL (Guard) Kameron King (Marshal) - 3*
UNTLifer replied to UNTLifer's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Kind of a confusing tape. I think it starts off pointing out #77 and then changes. MaxPreps has his number as 76. -
Added offers to Air Force, Houston Baptist, La- Mo, U Mass, and SFA. Still like our chances.
-
6'3", 270 lbs. 4 offers including the one from UNT. Also has offers from Tulane, Sam Houston and SFA. http://247sports.com/player/kameron-king-46041808

I agree, bjt we have to remember that we can be everywhere all the time. I would love to know where our coaches are currently recruiting, and believe that they are where they think they can be most effective. It is easy for us to assume that they aren't doing a good job recruiting because they aren't where we think they should be.
