  1. Yeah, but that would require halftime adjustments.
  2. And by continuing to run your rb's into piles of linemen is what will get said star rbs hurt. Those rb's arent new, they know how to run and how to find holes, Get your QB and Reciever some expierence together and get their timing down. Still run the ball, to get the linemen practice opening new holes, but try something new to succeed.
  3. Hell, thats a great idea. I only make $20K/year busting my ass WITH overtime, and thats before my bills. Why don't I just automatically give a Quarter of my income.
  4. A considerable amount has gone into the new uni's/different color pants, the logo embezzelment, and the new athletic center.
  5. Well one of those "excuses" has to be the truth.

    AA

I just saw the Giants are on ESPN, what number is AA?
  7. You know what I am sick of? I am sick of people telling us to stop bitching and be a fan. I have bled Mean Green Football since 1997. I have only missed 2 home games that entire time, due to being out of town. And one of those, the USF game, I was in San Antonio with my parents. I specificly found a bar and grill to watch the game on TV, I was at the Miracle in the Desert cheering NT on despite being threatened with aresst along with the other 300 NT fans. I started to tear up when it looked like we werent going to win and make a bowl game, then cried with joy when we beat NMSU with 18 seconds left. I was on Cannon Crew and getting drenched during the HC game with Nevada in '98. I have made it to all four NOB's despite running the risk of losing my job. I have been in the middle of hostile crowds yelling my head off during those blood for money games. I was going to a family reunion last year during the TU bloodbath, so I had the score sent to my cell phone. I was recieving belated score updates until midnight due to the time difference, so my agnoy was prolonged. So don't you dare tell me to sit back and be content with whats going on this year. I am a fan and I always will be. I will be at every home game unless its absolutly impossible, and even then I will find a way to follow it. That does not mean I dont have the right to see something that is wrong and not expect it to be corrected. To top it off, this is the first year I have bought season tickets. I have spent $300 this year, and while I was happy to do it, I expect and DEMAND a better performance from the team and especially the coaches. I want my money's worth. I do not fault the players for this year so far. You are right, they're young and they have to learn. They are doing their best. The coaching is holding them back. The coaches KNEW that this would be a young team. They knew that they would have alot of graduates. So why did they not start recruiting a year ago, and get these new players some experience during the blowout games last year? Im not saying recruit your whole team early, just get a few players and have them start developing a year ahead of time so they can me the transition for the freshmen easier. The game plan sucks. The coaches make NO adjustments. What the hell are the press box coaches doing up there, playing xbox?? No, they can't be, the gameplans on xbox work better than theirs. One other thing, as I said in another post, its hard to tell this is a down year. The results in OOC are exactly the same as any other year, including the years we had Booger and Hall. If their was a difference, then we could tell this is a "down" year. Oh, and gangrene, yea we beat Baylor at home, but we turned right around and got blown out by them then next year. So that kind of negates the credibility we earned from that game.
  8. Latest update I heard. Toward the end of the game, they said that he was talking and responsive. When he came to, he asked what happened and why he was at the hospital. Defintely an improvment. I don't think there were any camera angles that caught the collision, but they showed him laying there with the ASU trainers right after it happened and he was motionless, legs together and they were holding his head. You could tell he was out.
  9. Just heard an update. The wife called their son, who is one of the chain gang, and asked him to join them at the hospital north of Corvallis. They reported that his breathing is assisted by machine. Um, this doesnt look good guys
  10. One of the officials who operates the chains on the sidelines of the Oregan St/arizona St game is seriously hurt. Apparently he was hit while a couple of players battled each other and went out of bounds. He aint moving and they are bringing out the ambulance. The early report is that there are several doctors on the field with the trainers TRYING TO KEEP HIM BREATHING!!! 2 of his family members are also officials at the game. One is his son and the other is a nephew. God I hope he is ok, everyone pray for him.
  11. Guys, all of this bitching at each other is totally pointless. dd isnt going anywhere and neither are we.
  12. Matt, you scare me sometimes. Where do you find these obscure sites? Are you Norm Hitzges' long lost son???
  13. Im trying to find a site with previous football schedules on it, anyone know where??
  14. thanks, you too. Nice to see there are class fans at the big schools.
  15. Yeah, let me rephrase that: With our talent, it should not be that hard to find a coach to compete and win in the SBC. I think we have enough talent to buy a new coach some time to start bringing in his own recruits and molding them.
  16. I hear you, but you have to strive to make improvements at some point, its a chance you have to take. The Stars situation, Dave is only in his 2ne or 3rd year. He had some bad contracts that they just got rid of. So they took a year to rebuild. The Rangers, well, lets just say John Hart. it should not be hard to find a coach that can compete and win in the SBC. I just don't feel the conference has made the strides we had hoped for so far. That is due to the individual coaches, not WW. If we find someone who will have us competing hard and even upsetting teams in OOC, then I think we would be fine in SBC.
  17. NO, I mean for them to televise a different game. Not ours. Im not glad we are playing on national tv. I am a realist, and I am afraid of what is going to happen.
  18. Is it possible for RV to get ESPN 2 to televise a different game that night?
  19. Like FFR said, I will be praising and supporting the players, regardless. Now, the coaches, thats another story. Its hard to tell this is a down year. This is like EVERY year during OOC play. The only way you can tell any difference, is that we got killed by Tulsa. Shake it off guys, do your best and kick the crap out of Troy.
  20. Tom Laundry coached the Cowboys to become "America's Team" and won a couple of Super Bowls along the way, but was eventually fired. Johnny Oates won the only 3 division championships in Rangers history, but could never beat the evil empire. He was fired. Ken Hitchcock had the Stars to a perinneal powerhouse year in and year out, took the Stars to back to back Stanley Cups, and won one of them, but was fired after a down year. I will support this team and be there for EVERY home game, but just because someone is the best coach a school has ever hard, has won 4 straight conference championships, taken us to four straight bowl games (blown out in 3), doesnt mean at some point we dont try to make an improvement. Its not the losing some OOC games, its losing damn near all of them, even the teams we should beat, and getting our asses kicked in the process. You have to, at some point, ask what is this doing to the psyche, heart, and emotional dedication of the players.
  21. Except when you are a visitn fan. They treat you like crap.
  22. Nah, I like their old unis better. I do like their stadium though. Except the "scenery" around it leaves something to be desired.
